I think I've said it on another occasion, Or maybe not? I think I've mentioned that I love poetry and lyrics with content in songs. I think there is a difference between "lyrics with content" and "lyrics with poetry and beauty", there are times when these two qualities come together and create a lyrical work that engulfs the both the mind and the heart.

In the case of this beautiful song I bring today, I think it is a lyric with more qualities of beauty than of a particular developing theme. Cuando el mar te tenga (When the sea has you) is a song by the Spanish band "El último de la fila". I really like this band for their songs full of unique feelings, and I say that they are unique feelings because they make the intention of their songs reach people, not only for that reason, but also for the exciting and charismatic movement of their songs.

Talking now about the song in a more specific way: Cuando el mar te tenga has a very powerful meaning. I feel that it speaks of the chaos that man has created through unnecessary and hurtful words, which end up being more important than words of love that no one understands or cares about anymore. "If what you are going to say is not more beautiful than silence, don't say it" is a part of the song that has a lot of meaning and total truthfulness; it is true that we are used to say other words just to "say something" or feel that we are expressing something that we need to say. Sure, silence is often not very helpful, but when it comes to appreciating events beyond ourselves and our role as individuals, then that is where we should consider appreciating the beauty of silence. I think maybe that phrase also refers to prudence or the coherent and/or positive selection of words, knowing what we are going to say because words have a lot of force, they have a power that can be used to unite or to separate.

In general, this song has references to the value of prudence and silence beyond unnecessary verbs and phonemes. The voice of nature should be listened to more than the voice of man, that is why the lyrics also say: "Let the world speak and man be silent" let the earth speak with its beautiful sounds and words and let man be silent with his ego and internal conflicts. In the song they also make reference to the "mistral", which is a fierce and very cold wind that blows from the north of Spain. They make reference to this wind as a form of purification that cleanses and takes away all the bad to unite the world in another kind of harmony (roar mistral, make us mad as hell, and with your ancient fury take away anyone who dares to speak). It is interesting how they show the mistral as an energy of transformation through destruction, and the only way for transformation and evolution to arise is through destruction. Destruction is nothing more than a process of change.

The truth is that I feel quite identified with this song because it expresses perfectly what is the nature of a subtle person who has a preference for showing his qualities beyond a social environment. Of course, the song talks about this as much as the above mentioned. "While everyone sleeps I will love you. While everyone is talking I will run away" this is what I am referring to, when everyone is absent, when the appearance in the crowd is not the important thing and the torment of people is not present, it will be then when I will love you. This happens to me a lot, I don't like meetings with too many people, not even because I like them, for me it is preferable to share in a closer and more intimate way with people, in a simple way. If you are a subtle and more introverted person than others, let me tell you that this is a very nice quality. 😄

Creo que lo he dicho en otra ocasión, ¿O tal vez no? Creo que he mencionado que adoro la poesía y las letras con contenido en las canciones. Creo que hay una diferencia entre "letras con contenido" y "letras con poesía y belleza", hay veces que éstas dos cualidades se juntan y crean una obra lírica que envuelve la tanto la mente como el corazón.

En el caso de esta hermosa canción que traigo hoy, creo que es una letra con más cualidades de belleza que de un tema en desarrollo en particular. Cuando el mar te tenga (When the sea has you) es una canción de la banda Española "El último de la fila". Me gusta mucho esta banda por sus canciones llenas de sentimientos únicos, y digo que son sentimientos únicos porque si que hacen que la intención de sus canciones llegue a las personas, no solo me gusta por eso, si no también por el movimiento emocionante y carismático de sus canciones.

Hablando ahora de la canción de una forma más específica: Cuando el mar te tenga tiene un significado muy poderoso. Siento que habla del caos que el hombre ha creado a través de palabras innecesarias e hirientes, las cuales terminan siendo más importantes que las palabras de amor que ya nadie comprende ni le interesan. "Si lo que vas a decir no es más bello que el silencio no lo vayas a decir" es una parte de la canción que tiene mucho significado y total veracidad; es cierto que estamos acostumbrados a decir palabras demás por simplemente "decir algo" o sentir que estamos expresando algo que necesitamos decir. Claro, el silencio muchas veces no es muy útil, pero cuando se trata de apreciar los sucesos más allá de nosotros y de nuestro papel como individuos, entonces es ahí donde deberíamos considerar apreciar la belleza del silencio. Creo que tal vez esa frase también hace referencia a la prudencia o a la selección coherente y/o positiva de las palabras, saber que es lo que vamos a decir porque las palabras tienen mucha fuerza, tienen un poder que puede ser utilizado para unir o separar.

En general, esta canción tiene referencias a lo valiosa que es la prudencia y el silencio más allá de verbos y fonemas innecesarios. La voz de la naturaleza debe ser más escuchada que la del hombre, por eso es que la letra también dice: "Que hable el mundo y calle el hombre" que hable la tierra con sus bellos sonidos y palabras y que calle el hombre con su ego y conflictos internos. En la canción también hacen referencia al "mistral", el cual es un viento feroz y muy frío que sopla desde el norte de España. Hacen referencia a este viento como una forma de purificación que limpia y se lleva todo lo malo para unir al mundo en otro tipo de armonía (ruge mistral, vuelvenos locos de atar, y con tu antiguo furor llévate a aquel que ose hablar). Es interesante como muestran al mistral como una energía de transformación mediante la destrucción, y es que la única forma de que surja la transformación y la evolución es mediante la destrucción. La destrucción no es más que un proceso de cambio.

La verdad, es que me siento bastante identificado con esta canción porque expresa a la perfección lo que es la naturaleza de una persona sutil que tiene preferencia por mostrar sus cualidades más allá de un ámbito social. Claro, la canción habla de esto tanto como lo anterior mencionado. "Mientras todos duerman te amare. Mientras todos hablen huiré" esto es a lo que hago referencia, cuando todos estén ausentes, cuando la apariencia entre la multitud no sea lo importante y el tormento de las personas no esté presente, sera entonces cuando te ame. Esto me pasa bastante, no me gustan mucho las reuniones con demasiadas personas, ni porque me caigan bien, para mí es preferible compartir de una forma más cercana e íntima con las personas, de forma sencilla. Si eres una persona sutil y más introvertida que los demás, pues déjame decirte que esa es una muy linda cualidad. 😄
