Greetings GeekZone people! It's been a while since I made a post in this community and for me it's a pleasure to return with nothing more and nothing less than a "Gameplay prediction". I used this dynamic mostly in World Cup games and I have resumed it in previous weeks with some important European finals, but this one today is undoubtedly the most important since it is the most important competition at club level, I am talking of course about the UEFA Champions League.

I don't know how much the gaming world is interested in a soccer match, but I'm sure many follow at least the important matches like this one. Maybe it would have been more attractive if teams like Real Madrid CF or Barcelona FC were present, but the truth is that this time we have the super Manchester City of Pep Guardiola, Haaland and company, as well as the surprising Inter Milan of world champion Lautaro Martinez.

¡Saludos gente de GeekZone! Pasó ya cierto tiempo desde que realice un post en ésta comunidad y para mi es todo un placer regresar nada más y nada menos que con un “Gameplay prediction”. Esta dinámica la use más que todo en juegos del Mundial y la he retomado en semanas anteriores con algunas finales europeas importante, pero esta del día de hoy es sin duda la más importante ya que se trata de la competición más importante a nivel de clubes, hablo por supuesto de la UEFA Champions League.

No sé qué tanto le interese al mundo gaming un partido de futbol, pero estoy seguro que muchos siguen por lo menos los partidos importantes como este. Quizá hubiera sido más atractivo si equipos como el Real Madrid CF o el Barcelona FC estuvieran presentes, pero lo cierto es que esta vez nos citan el súper Manchester City de Pep Guardiola, Haaland y compañía, así como el sorprendente Inter de Milán del campeón del mundo Lautaro Martinez.

Regarding the video game I use, Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 is still the one that allows me to emulate these finals, at the moment it is the one that my laptop supports in conjunction with OBS Studio which as you know consumes a significant amount of resources; on the other hand, my desktop PC can not support both programs running together, but better times will come and for that there is a plan.

While it is true that it is a relatively old game, I have programmed it so that the lineups are kept as up to date as possible, in fact, I would say they are 100%, so on that side all the players you will see in the teams will recognize them immediately. It is obvious that the current Pro Evoluction Soccer games have better graphics, but believe me the gameplay is not necessarily better, I have tested 2023 on PlayStation 5 and it is obvious that it is better, but there are many things that remain the same.

Respecto al videojuego que uso, sigue siendo el Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 el que me permite emular ésta finales, de momento es el que mi laptop soporta en conjunto con el OBS Studio que como bien saben consume una cantidad significativa de recursos; por otra parte, mi PC de mesa tampoco puede soportar ambos programas ejecutándose en conjunto, pero ya vendrán mejores tiempos y para eso hay un plan.

Si bien es cierto que es un juego relativamente antiguo, lo he programado para que las alineaciones se mantengan los más actualizadas posible, de hecho, diría que están al 100%, así que por ese lado todos los jugadores que verás en los equipos los reconocerán inmediatamente. Es obvio que los juegos actuales de Pro Evoluction Soccer tienen mejores gráficos, pero créanme que no necesariamente la jugabilidad es mejor, he probado el 2023 en PlayStation 5 y es evidente que es mejor, pero hay muchas cosas que se mantienen igual.

I chose Manchester City because I firmly believe they will win, the team is highly superior and comes from eliminating the king of the cups Real Madrid CF, while Inter Milan had more accessible series, but soccer has shown us that anything can happen, in fact, in the gameplay you can see part of what I'm telling you.

I made some small adjustments in the lineups, but they weren't really that many, I just wanted them to be as similar as possible to how the teams are currently playing. As usual I selected the "Legend" difficulty and adjusted the game mode to the ones that will be used in the final regarding extra time, penalties and number of substitutions allowed.

Elegí al Manchester City ya que creo firmemente que van a ganar, el equipo es altamente superior y viene de eliminar al rey de las copas Real Madrid CF, mientras que el Inter de Milán tuvo series más accesibles, pero el futbol nos ha demostrado que todo puede pasar, de hecho, en el gameplay pueden ver parte de lo que les estoy diciendo.

Realicé pequeños ajustes en las alineaciones, pero en realidad no fueron tantos, es solo que quise que se parecieran los más posible a como están jugando los equipo actualmente. Como de costumbre selecciones la dificultad “Leyenda” y ajusté la modalidad de juego a las que se usará en la final respecto al tiempo extra, penales y cantidad de cambios permitidos.
