Siento que hacer esta iniciativa ha sido todo un reto para mí, primera vez que hago un vídeo de este tipo y no estaba muy segura si podría, pero después de todo le puse corazón y les he contado parte de mi historia y camino en la música, la verdad es que hablar y escribir es muy diferente porque si escribes algo malo puedes borrar lo que no te salió bien pero si hablas frente a la cámara y te equivocas a veces hay que empezar de cero, sin contar con los factores externos.

Así que esto también fue una experiencia nueva pero que me gustó mucho, así que les invito a escucharme.

También quiero agradecer a @lisbeth26 por invitarme a participar y quisiera invitar a @yuli07 a que nos cuente sobre su camino en la música.

¿Cómo fue mi primer contando con la música?

Desde que recuerdo siempre me llamó mucho la atención la música, sobretodo cantar, aunque en mi familia no habían músicos, escuchar los éxitos de esa época era común y eso lograba captar toda mi atención a pesar de mi corta edad, tanto así que me ponía a cantar y eso les hacía pasar un buen rato a todos los presentes.

Mi contacto más real fue cuando tenía aproximadamente 14 o 15 años, en ese tiempo mi hermana y mi mamá formaban parte del coro de la iglesia y ellas me hicieron la invitación y yo accedí.

Fue la primera vez que canté con una banda, para mí al principio no fue fácil pues tenía problemas con el tiempo y a veces con la entonación, pero ellos me enseñaron y allí aprendí que cantar era un poco más complejo que soltar algunas notas a solas.

Cuando mis padres vieron que a mi hermana y a mi nos gustaba cantar, decidieron comprarnos instrumentos a ambas, ellos no preguntaron que queríamos aprender, esa semana se fueron de viaje y regresaron con una guitarra, un teclado y 3 micrófonos para cada una.

No sé porqué tuvieron la brillante idea de decidir lo que cada una iba a estudiar, yo amaba la guitarra y ellos me inscribieron en un curso de teclado y mi hermana sí quería estudiar teclado pero a ella le tocó la guitarra, la verdad es que ese curso no duró mucho, al mes ya habíamos abandonado y los instrumentos se quedaron recibiendo todo el polvo de la casa.

Años después saqué el teclado, ese que yo no quería ni ver y comencé a tocar una melodía que a mí me gustaba, sin ayuda de nadie y sin tener idea de lo que estaba haciendo pude ejecutarla y eso me llenó de mucha emoción y motivación para decidir tomar clases con un amigo de la iglesia que me enseñó lo básico, mis primeros acordes y mis primeras canciones.

A los 22 años tomé mi guitarra y entré en un curso que jamás pensé que me cambiaría la vida, allí conocí a mi esposo , quien era mi profesor de guitarra, el me enseñó todo lo que sé hoy y de hecho lo sigue haciendo.

Al poco tiempo me hizo una invitación al coro sinfónico Juvenil del Estado Anzoategui, ese día salí de allí maravillada, jamás en mi vida había escuchado algo así, no pasó mucho para que yo formara parte, sin tener idea de lo que era una partitura ellos me enseñaron poco a poco y con mucha paciencia.

Gracias a ese profesor (mi esposo) me enteré de una Universidad de artes que se iba a inaugurar dónde finalmente estudié Canto "Solista sinfónico" ,recuerdo que ese día no tenía idea de cómo hacer un sólo, pero tomé la decisión y hasta ahora no me arrepiento de haber escogido esa carrera.

La crisis económica que afectó a mi país me obligó a congelar mis estudios, movilizarme a la universidad era un tema difícil porque hasta el transporte era escaso, el dinero en efectivo para pagarlo tampoco se conseguía fácilmente así que yo tenía que caminar muchísimo todos los días para llegar hasta allá y luego regresarme, además era necesario que trabajara porque hacía falta el dinero en casa.

Aún tengo en mente regresar, no sé cuándo pero creanme que eso está en mis planes así que no me entristezco.

¿Cuántos años tienes haciendo música?

Tengo aproximadamente 15 años en este mundo, al principio duré varios años aprendiendo de manera autodidacta, experimentando y luego poco a poco he ido profundizando mis estudios, no dejo de aprender, todos los días descubro cosas nuevas.

¿Tienes algún nombre o apoyo a tu instrumento?

No, realmente nunca le puse un apodo, aunque los primeros años intenté no me sentí muy cómoda, asi que los llamo a cada uno por su nombre.

¿Que tips o recomendaciones le darían a los personas que quieren aprender música?

Primero deben tener mucha paciencia, en la música se necesita tener concentración y ser muy disciplinados, la práctica es importante, dedicarse al menos 1 hora diaria al instrumento.

Al principio queremos correr y ver resultados rápidos pero podemos frustrarnos así que con calma y a su tiempo cochecharan los frutos de su esfuerzo.

¿How was my first contact with music?

Since I remember I was always very interested in music, especially singing, although in my family there were no musicians, listening to the hits of that time was common and that managed to capture all my attention despite my young age, so much so that I started to sing and that made them have a good time to all present.

My most real contact was when I was about 14 or 15 years old, at that time my sister and my mother were part of the church choir and they invited me and I agreed.

It was the first time I sang with a band, for me it was not easy at first because I had problems with timing and sometimes intonation, but they taught me and there I learned that singing was a little more complex than just releasing a few notes on my own.

When my parents saw that my sister and I liked to sing, they decided to buy instruments for both of us, they didn't ask what we wanted to learn, that week they went on a trip and came back with a guitar, a keyboard and 3 microphones for each of us.

I don't know why they had the brilliant idea of deciding what each one was going to study, I loved the guitar and they enrolled me in a keyboard course and my sister wanted to study keyboard but she got the guitar, the truth is that this course did not last long, after a month we had already abandoned it and the instruments were left getting all the dust in the house.

Years later I took out the keyboard, the one that I didn't even want to see and I started to play a melody that I liked, without anyone's help and without having any idea of what I was doing I could play it and that filled me with a lot of emotion and motivation to decide to take lessons with a friend from the church who taught me the basics, my first chords and my first songs.

At the age of 22 I took my guitar and entered a course that I never thought would change my life, there I met my husband, who was my guitar teacher, he taught me everything I know today and in fact he still does.

Soon after he invited me to join the Youth Symphonic Choir of Anzoategui State, that day I left there amazed, I had never heard anything like that in my life, it did not take long for me to be part of it, without having any idea of what a score was, they taught me little by little and with a lot of patience.

Thanks to that teacher (my husband) I found out about a University of Arts that was going to be inaugurated where I finally studied "Symphonic Soloist" singing. I remember that day I had no idea how to do a solo, but I made the decision and so far I do not regret having chosen that career.

The economic crisis that affected my country forced me to freeze my studies, moving to the university was a difficult issue because even transportation was scarce, the cash to pay for it was not easily available so I had to walk a lot every day to get there and then return, it was also necessary to work because money was needed at home.

I still have in mind to go back, I don't know when but believe me it is in my plans so I am not sad.

¿How many years have you been making music?

I have approximately 15 years in this world, at the beginning I spent several years learning in a self-taught way, experimenting and then little by little I have been deepening my studies, I do not stop learning, every day I discover new things.

No, I never really gave them a nickname, although the first few years I tried I didn't feel very comfortable, so I call them each by their first name.

What tips or recommendations would you give to people who want to learn music?

First you must have a lot of patience, in music you need to have concentration and be very disciplined, practice is important, dedicate at least 1 hour a day to the instrument.

At the beginning we want to run and see quick results but we can get frustrated so with calm and in time you will reap the fruits of your effort.
