Hive Open Mic 105- A whole new world.

This is my first time trying hive open mic contest and in all sincerity I spent some good number of hours contemplating if to publish this or not. I feel like this is a disaster already😂 but I believe it can get better with more practice.

The theme for hive open mic 105 is "colourful". I had an issue coming up with a song that suits the theme because I believe every song is colourful in its own way. After a moment of searching for a song, I decided to do "A whole new world" by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle. The song is originally a duet but I had to do it alone just for the theme of the week.

The first time I heard this song was in the movie "Aladdin". The princess had only known the castle all her life. She had lots of limitations and she was not allowed to experience the outside world because they believed it was too risky or too dangerous.

Applying this to our lives today, a lot of us have lost the colours in our lives. Our lives have become a routine where we do the same thing all the time. We are afraid to take risks or go on adventures. We don't want to cross boundaries or see new horizons. How can we see how colourful the world is if we do not take chances? How can we tell how colourful success is if we do not take risks? How can we tell how beautiful the world is, If we do not go on adventures?
