PERFECT DAY - In just a Normal Piano Post

It was meant to be a perfect day. The usually perfect day, as always ... But turned out to be just a perfectly normal day. A late winter day, when a sea storm can eat up half of the road and swipe away the beach, cause damage and people in a small coastal village would have a different topic to talk about. But it didn't happen. It was just a normal grey day, with mild waves and fog over the sea. Dull and boring.

After 4 hours of rest (yeah, it became also normal for me to sleep just that hours) the normal day greeted me, and I almost fell into the trap of accepting it. You know, do some chores, shopping, work, read a book, listen to some music... Wait, music? Music? Music came to make the day a bit more like a perfect day....at least the title of the song Perfect Day suggests that...

Oh it's such a perfect day.
I am glad I spent it with you.

you just keep me hanging on...

So the playing started, oh that is such a fun part! If you are a musician, you know that recording something from the first time is.....impossible, right? So, the "presonus studio one" on my laptop was recording, erasing, recording, erasing... at one moment I wanted to quit, but then one of the shots seemed to be ok. Perfect? No, never :)

I went to the beach, prepared with a pencil and a marker. Pebbles helped me with this. And the waves and seagulls. When I told my husband what I was doing, he asked did I really always like to do things for my posts in a complicated way? Wasn't it easier just to write down the lyrics you wanted to stress out?

A bit more of the process of making this video

So, I made about 40 short videos, writing on pebbles the words, matching them... Then in the afternoon in the school, and later at home. The pre-recorded audio from the morning had to be matched with the lyrics. I was trimming the videos, changing their speed if I needed a longer or shorter to go along with the music, exactly where would Lou Reed sing. I saw some music clips where along with the song there is a minimalistic kind of video, just popping out the lyrics. I love them. But I made here my crafted one hehe...Maybe next time I will just use a one coloured background and write in the editor the lyrics, a lot easier, right? But then we come back to the fact that I like to do the post in a more complicated way!

Ok, so here it comes, Perfect Day, by Lou Reed. I would appreciate any feedback, critique or idea. But I hope you will have fun with this one, I had it. Wanted to publish it yesterday, but the short video cutting and matching with audio took me some three hours, so it was not possible to finish it and write even when midnight passed.

This post is not a part of Challenge Not Challenge - #SpreadtheVibes, neither it is hive open mic entry, it is just a normal post. Ok, maybe can be called a karaoke post? If yes, then I dedicate it to my hive friend olga.maslievich and her daughters, as they are so cool singing :)
