I have a feeling that centuries have passed since I last recorded and published a work of classical music here. Well, exactly twenty days, from the last one with classical music ...so it was just the feeling. That last one was wrapped in a post of another purpose, and the piece I played was Badinerie.

In general, classical music is not something interesting to listen to. Not for quick consumption, unless it's some ultra-familiar tune ... and short. I can understand that it is perceived as boring, out of fashion, not sweet and tempting. It cannot inspire or transmit some frequencies that will later drum in one's bloodstream.
Few people will open my post if they see the title, for example, Handel, Passacaglia.

But hey, congratulations, you are one of those who decided to take a look at what this composition is. And you will hear here a non perfect version. I played this piece last time in 2006 or 2007 if I remember well. Since then, this book has been buried somewhere among other piano books, because Handel's suites were no longer a priority for me. I have recorded it this morning this way, with some errors, and there were some notes that my fingers just skipped. Really strange feeling when I can not control them, but if I think better it is not anything strange. It is because of the lack of practising. So I will blame the time, that I don't have to dedicate to practise more.

This passacaglia is the last movement of George Frideric Handel's Harpsichord Suite in G minor (HWV 432). So, back in those days I played the whole suite, even performed it in one concert along with other pieces composed by Debussy and Ravel. I had a time that I played mostly baroque and impressionism, so different styles but I liked both. I started my Masters on topic of impressionism in music, but never finished. It was a bit difficult to practice a few hours in daily basis while I already had my child and work. But it is ok.

Now here comes just this movement. Passacaglia...and as I said, with some imperfection, but I read one phrase yesterday in someone's post. It was something like this : You would be surprised if you knew how little time others think about you. I paraphrased, I am not sure if it was the exact sentence. But the point is that I will try not to put a lot of my worrying thoughts on the imperfections. Still, hope that it will be ok to listen to ;)
