¡Saludos, mis estimados amigos de Espavlog! Es un gusto estar de nuevo en esta comunidad compartiendo en el que será un gran año para todos los que hacemos vida acá. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi primera salida recreativa de este 2023 en compañía de dos amigas.

Greetings, my dear friends of Espavlog! It is a pleasure to be back in this community sharing in what will be a great year for all of us who make life here. Today I want to share with you my first recreational outing of this 2023 in the company of two friends.

En Maracay, la ciudad donde resido, muchos se dan cita en el cerro del hotel Maracay, ubicado en el Parque Nacional Henry Pittier, un lugar ideal para pasar un rato diferente. Yo no soy la excepción y el sábado pasado fui con dos amigas: la meta, llegar hasta el container, el punto de llegada de todos los senderistas.

In Maracay, the city where I live, many people gather at the hill of the Maracay Hotel, located in the Henry Pittier National Park, an ideal place to spend a different time. I am no exception and last Saturday I went with two friends: the goal, to get to the container, the point of arrival of all hikers.

Pero nuestro plan tuvo que cambiar, ya que el acceso al cerro se encontraba cerrado hasta nuevo aviso, así que decidimos llegar a un lugar cercano, conocido como Las Ballenas, para caminar un rato y hacer algunos ejercicios y aprovechar la salida.

But our plan had to change, since the access to the hill was closed until further notice, so we decided to go to a nearby place, known as Las Ballenas, to walk for a while and do some exercises and take advantage of the outing.

Una vez que llegamos a las ballenas, dimos una vuelta al parque por la caminería que comprende 3.4 km. Luego, decidimos probar diversas máquinas que hay en el lugar para hacer ejercicios tanto de piernas como de brazos, lo interesante es que estas máquinas trabajan con tu propio peso.

Once we arrived atlas Ballenas, we walked around the park along the 3.4 km trail. Then, we decided to try different machines that are in the place to do exercises for both legs and arms, the interesting thing is that these machines work with your own weight.

Luego de eso, tomamos un descanso en uno de los muchos lugares que ofrece las Ballenas, bajo la sombra de un árbol, descansamos y conversamos para luego tomar nuestro camino a casa.

After that, we took a break in one of the many places offered by the Ballenas, under the shade of a tree, we rested and talked and then we went on our way home.

Sin duda aún tengo pendiente la visita al cerro, esperando que esté abierto al público, no solo por la exigencia física que se requiere para llegar a la cima, sino porque también la vista de Maracay, mi ciudad, es única desde ese punto. Les estaré contando cuando viva la experiencia.

Without a doubt I still have a visit to the hill pending, hoping that it will be open to the public, not only because of the physical demand required to reach the top, but also because the view of Maracay, my city, is unique from that point. I will be telling you when I live the experience.
