Greetings to all movie lovers and welcome to my review of the latest installment of the iconic Saw saga! This horror franchise has been a benchmark in the genre since its debut in 2004, and personally, I have followed each chilling installment with great enthusiasm.

Saw X marks the tenth installment in the series and plunges us once again into the twisted world of the infamous Jigsaw. This time, the film sits between the first and second installments, bringing back the legendary John Kramer. What sets this film apart is that it introduces us to a more human Jigsaw, battling his own disease, brain cancer. This vulnerability in his character adds a layer of complexity and makes us, for a moment, empathize with him, despite his macabre methods of teaching life lessons.

The plot revolves around a scam that Jigsaw undergoes while seeking treatment for his illness. This ironic situation adds a touch of dark humor and demonstrates that even the most cunning con artists can find themselves in a no-win situation.

Saw X marca la décima entrega de la serie y nos sumerge nuevamente en el retorcido mundo del infame Jigsaw. Esta vez, la película se ubica entre la primera y la segunda entrega, trayendo de vuelta al legendario John Kramer. Lo que diferencia esta película es que nos presenta a un Jigsaw más humano, luchando contra su propia enfermedad, un cáncer cerebral. Esta vulnerabilidad en su personaje agrega una capa de complejidad y hace que, por un momento, sintamos empatía hacia él, a pesar de sus métodos macabros para enseñar lecciones de vida.

El argumento gira en torno a una estafa que Jigsaw sufre al buscar un tratamiento para su enfermedad. Esta situación irónica añade un toque de humor negro y demuestra que incluso los estafadores más astutos pueden encontrarse en una situación sin salida.

What stands out in this film is its focus on the preparation for the games and the perpetrators' justifications for the participants to find what they need to survive. This raises the disturbing question of how far we would be willing to go to save our lives in extreme situations.

In addition, we have a participant who comes across as a potential villain, her defiant attitude and deceptive appearance adding an intriguing element to the plot and reminding us that appearances are often deceiving not only in the world of Saw, but in real life as well.

Lo que destaca en esta película es su enfoque en la preparación de los juegos y las justificaciones de los perpetradores para que los participantes encuentren lo necesario para sobrevivir. Esto plantea la inquietante pregunta de hasta dónde estaríamos dispuestos a llegar para salvar nuestras vidas en situaciones extremas.

Además, tenemos a una participante que se presenta como una villana en potencia, su actitud desafiante y apariencia engañosa añaden un elemento intrigante a la trama y nos recuerdan que las apariencias suelen engañar no solamente en el mundo de Saw, sino también en la vida real.

In terms of cinematography, the film resembles the earlier installments of the saga with lighter lighting compared to typical horror films. This choice highlights the brutality of the mutilations and adds a unique visual element to the film.

However, it is important to mention that at times the film seems unrealistic in terms of the level of pain a human body can endure, but this also raises the question of how we would react in life and death situations.

En cuanto a la cinematografía, la película se asemeja a las primeras entregas de la saga con una iluminación más clara en comparación con las películas típicas de terror. Esta elección resalta la brutalidad de las mutilaciones y agrega un elemento visual único a la película.

Sin embargo, es importante mencionar que en ocasiones la película parece no ser realista en cuanto al nivel de dolor que un cuerpo humano puede soportar, pero esto también plantea la cuestión de cómo reaccionaríamos en situaciones de vida o muerte.

All in all, Saw X is an exciting addition to the franchise. While it appears to be a possible closure for the saga, it leaves open the possibility of future horror films taking inspiration from Saw. This franchise has been noted for its intriguing story, shocking effects and surprising endings in each installment.
