Hello lovely hiveans of Afritunes! I welcome you to my entry to the 56th week of our weekly presentation. I trust you are doing great. On my own part, I am also doing well, thanks to God and the good people around me!
As always, it is a joy and opportunity to be able to express ourselves in different genre of music and in this case, African music, African tunes.

In my opinion, African music is not an independent genre of music because it draws certain elements from other genre of music like soul, pop, blues, rock and so on, yet the uniqueness remains in the percussions. For me, I would describe African music as an interaction and exchange between cultures and that is a beautiful thing for me. It is always a pleasure to get the opportunity as this, to present an African tune and today is not an exception.

So, today, I bring us a song by one of the recent afro beat artists in Nigeria known as VICTONY. The title of the song is "Soweto". The song is characterized by VICTONYs soulful voice and cool melodious backing tracks.

I presented the song in an acoustic version, therefore, I played the most resonating line and the progression of the song followed by a melody of the song proper.
