Aerials, is a song by the American rock band System of a down, from their album titled Toxicity, from the year 2001. For me, and according to global critics, it is the best album of this great musical group.

The 90's was undoubtedly a golden age for alternative rock, and hence all the forks that were born in this time interval. Those of us who lived through this decade were able to see spectacular grunge groups such as: Pearl Jam, Alice in chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana..., and this is speaking of a style that, in general terms, only dominated this period.
But as a result of this style, some ramifications were born and others were reinforced, and this indicates that the metal that we enjoyed in the 90s, which was quite raucous and underground, began to soften and become popular with bands like System of a down, KoRn, Deftones... to name the most ranked.

The decade of the 2000s was very prosperous, this thanks to globalization, the internet, television networks, marketing, all this together made the music industry grow and along with it all these bands, which in addition to contributing a new style, they could sell their work through video clips, and with this I don't want to say that it wasn't done before, only that in this decade of the 2000s there were massive resources to have contact with all this emerging movement.

The album Toxicity, together with all the video clips that promoted it, with the songs: Chop suey!, Toxicity, Aerials, was like a worldwide explosion that quickly catapulted the musical career of this band.

Actually, it's not that he needed it much, because this group is already very good, but this push would have been the springboard for many bands from the 90s that didn't become so popular due to lack of exposure.
But what we must recognize is that without a doubt System occupied a space in the disco of any rocker of the date, and to this day they are still valid.

This is an acoustic guitar cover that I had time to bring to #Hive and now seemed the most appropriate moment to expose it, taking advantage of this festival that is beginning to grow by leaps and bounds. I hope you enjoy.

Aerials, es una canción de la banda de rock estadounidense System of a down, de su álbum titulado Toxicity, del año 2001. Para mí, y según las críticas globales, es el mejor disco de esta gran agrupación musical.

La década de los 90 fue sin duda una era dorada para el rock alternativo, y de allí todas las bifurcaciones que nacieron en este intervalo de tiempo. Los que vivimos esta década pudimos ver agrupaciones de grunge espectaculares como: Pearl Jam, Alice in chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana..., y esto hablando de un estilo que, en términos generales, solo acaparó este periodo. Pero a raíz de este estilo nacieron unas ramificaciones y se reforzaron otras, y esto apunta a que el metal que disfrutamos en los 90, el cual era bastante estridente y underground, pasó a suavizarse y popularizarse con bandas como System of a down, KoRn, Deftones... por nombrar las más rankeadas.

La década del 2000 fue muy próspera, esto gracias a la globalización, el internet, las cadenas televisivas, el mercadeo, todo esto en conjunto hicieron crecer a la industria musical y junto con ello a todas estas bandas, que además de aportar un estilo nuevo, podían vender su trabajo a través de videoclips, y con esto no quiero decir que antes no se hacía, solo que en esta década 2000 existían los recursos en masa para tener contacto con toda esta movida surgente.

El disco Toxicity, junto con todos los videoclips que lo promocionaron, con las canciones: Chop suey!, Toxicity, Aerials , fue como una explosión a nivel mundial que catapultó rápidamente la carrera musical de esta banda. Realmente, no es que le haya hecho mucha falta, debido a que de por sí esta agrupación es muy buena, pero este empujón hubiera sido el trampolín para muchas bandas de los 90 que no se hicieron tan populares por falta de exposición. Pero lo que si hay que reconocer es que sin lugar a dudas System ocupó un espacio en la discoteca de cualquier rockero de la fecha, y hasta el sol de hoy singuen estando vigentes.

Este es un cóver de guitarra acústica que tenía tiempo por traerlo a #Hive y que ahora me pareció el momento más apropiado de exponerlo, aprovechando este festival que empieza a crecer a pasos agigantados. Espero que lo disfruten.
