Hello Afri-tunes community, it's been a while and I've really missed you guys. I've just had a lot to deal with lately, but I'm back fully now🙏. It's week 33 of our contest, and for this week I'd be covering a song by Nigerian singer and songwriter "WIZKID" ft. "TEMS" on a song called "Essence".

Essence can be classified as an Afrobeats/R&B song due to its instrumentation, lyrics e.t.c. The songs talks about love and how one really can't function without it, giving one's all, fighting for the love even on days you want to leave. In this sensual song,the duo (WIZKID & TEMS) can be seen expressing their desire for each other, yearning for each other's physical connection.

The song "Essence" is widely received worldwide and even became the song of the summer in 2021. This is the first Nigerian song in history to chart on the Billboard 100 and the Billboard Global 200. Hola comunidad de Afri-tunes, ha pasado un tiempo y realmente los he extrañado.
He tenido mucho con lo que lidiar últimamente, pero ahora estoy de vuelta por completo 🙏. Es la semana 33 de nuestro concurso, y esta semana haría una versión de una canción del cantante y compositor nigeriano "WIZKID" con "TEMS" en una canción llamada "Essence".

Essence se puede clasificar como una canción de Afrobeats/R&B debido a su instrumentación, letra, etc. Las canciones hablan sobre el amor y cómo uno realmente no puede funcionar sin él, dándolo todo, luchando por el amor incluso en los días en que quiere irse. En esta canción sensual, se puede ver al dúo (WIZKID & TEMS) expresando su deseo el uno por el otro, anhelando la conexión física del otro.
