Researching on the Theme of Cacao, I discovered how important this plant is both as a product for healthy living, and as a raw form of cocoa, which is an ingredient for chocolate products. This reminded me of how important natural plants and food items are, and how it is essential that we care for these items.

Sadly, many of us really abuse these natural gifts and many fail to realise how we can't do without them. Yet, we only care about our short-term/momentary need. We cut down huge trees to produce books, tissue papers and papers, yet deforestation without planting back is harmful to the environment. We put sand to fill up many islands to create more land without proper drainage system, yet those lands are at risk because when flooding happens or when the sea rises it will certainly cover these areas.

We need to realize how important it is to care for our environment for both our present day and for future generations.

Investigando sobre el tema del cacao, descubrí lo importante que es esta planta tanto como producto para una vida sana, como forma cruda de cacao, que es un ingrediente para los productos de chocolate. Esto me recordó lo importantes que son las plantas y los alimentos naturales, y lo esencial que es que los cuidemos.

Lamentablemente, muchos de nosotros abusamos de estos dones naturales y muchos no se dan cuenta de que no podemos prescindir de ellos. Sin embargo, sólo nos preocupamos de nuestras necesidades momentáneas a corto plazo. Talamos árboles enormes para producir libros, pañuelos de papel y papeles, y sin embargo, deforestar sin volver a plantar es perjudicial para el medio ambiente. Echamos arena para rellenar muchas islas y crear más tierra sin un sistema de drenaje adecuado, y sin embargo esas tierras están en peligro porque cuando se produzcan inundaciones o cuando suba el mar sin duda cubrirá esas zonas.

Tenemos que darnos cuenta de lo importante que es cuidar nuestro medio ambiente tanto para el presente como para las generaciones futuras.

For this week, I'll present a Gospel song by the Hillsong Choir titled Oceans. Although the song does not speak about nature or its beauty, it praises the King and creator of all things. It uses the analogy of the Ocean to speak about how God cares for His people, protect them and provide for them. It also speaks about our response to the call of God and deepening of our faith.

Utiliza la analogía del Océano para hablar de cómo Dios cuida de su pueblo, lo protege y provee para él. También habla de nuestra respuesta a la llamada de Dios y de la profundización de nuestra fe.
