A pesar de que la guitarra es mi gran amor y mi pasión, debo confesar que a veces me gusta poder cantar sin tener que ejecutar ningún instrumento, ya que esto me da la libertad de concentrarme mucho más en la ejecución vocal sin tanta presión, de hecho desde hace tiempo que fantaseo con ser parte de una banda dónde mi papel sea exclusivamente cantar, una banda de covers (ya que en todas mis canciones originales toco la guitarra) de música de los 90's como la canción que les traigo en esta publicación, también porque siento que me adapto bastante bien al rango vocal de estos intérpretes, en todo caso mi punto es que a veces es muy liberador, relajante y divertido poder simplemente cantar sin tener que pensar en nada más.

Despite the fact that the guitar is my great love and my passion, I must confess that sometimes I like being able to sing without having to play any instrument, since this gives me the freedom to concentrate much more on the vocal execution without so much pressure, in fact I have been fantasizing for a long time about being part of a band where my role is exclusively to sing, a cover band (since I play the guitar in all my original songs) of 90's music like the song that I bring you in this publication, also because I feel that I adapt quite well to the vocal range of these performers, in any case my point is that sometimes it is very liberating, relaxing and fun to be able to just sing without having to think about anything else.

Mi aprendizaje en la música ha sido en su mayor parte empírico y autodidacta, aunque sí estuve en clases de música en varias ocasiones, a los 15 años con la guitarra y a los 21 años con el saxofón, pero nunca he recibido clases de canto. Mi experiencia con el canto es curiosa ya que cuando comencé a tocar guitarra, no cantaba en lo absoluto, y así pasaron aproximadamente 2 años hasta que los amigos con los que tocaba decidieron que empezariamos a versionar canciones de rock clásico, y yo sería el cantante porque era el único que sabía inglés, de esta manera empezé a cumplir con el rol de vocalista en la banda y para serles honesto yo no soportaba escuchar mi voz en grabaciones, sentía que era como uñas arañando un pizarron -un sonido estridente y desagradable- sin embargo desde ese momento no he dejado de practicar e incluso he tenido el privilegio de poder ganar algo de dinero presentándome en fiestas y reuniones, hoy por hoy siento que he avanzado bastante, y que me falta aún más por avanzar, pero estoy feliz de poder compartir con ustedes esta interpretación (ya no suena como uñas arañando un pizarrón ¿verdad? ¿ustedes qué opinan?) abajo les dejo el link de la pista que usé para acompañarme ¡espero que les guste el vídeo! ¡nos vemos pronto con más música!

My learning in music has been mostly empirical and self-taught, although I did take music classes on several occasions, at the age of 15 with the guitar and at the age of 21 with the saxophone, but I have never received singing lessons. My experience with singing is curious because when I started playing guitar, I didn't sing at all, and so it took about 2 years until the friends I played with decided that we would start covering classic rock songs, and I would be the singer because I was the only one who knew English, this way I started to fulfill the role of vocalist in the band and to be honest I couldn't stand hearing my voice on recordings, it felt like nails scratching a blackboard -a shrill and unpleasant sound- However, since that moment I have not stopped practicing and I have even had the privilege of being able to earn some money by performing at parties and gatherings. Today I feel that I have made a lot of progress, and that I still have more to go, but I am happy to be able to share this interpretation with you (it doesn't sound like nails scratching a blackboard anymore, right?
