Diclofenac: If it is 50mg you will take it every 8 hours to complete 150mg in a day, and if it is 100mg you will take it every 12 hours to complete 200mg a day, without abusing it!!!

Hey, how are you? This way Jorge, I have been wanting to talk to you for a long time about this topic, an anecdote which is very important for me to let people know... In case it was difficult for you to understand the video because of the bad audio quality, here I will make a summary to put it in context...

    Ojo Hinchado / Swollen Eye

It turns out that a person not far from my house had problems with an eye, he had it inflamed and red, this gentleman went to the doctor who performed an eye wash and prescribed Diclofenac Sodium 50mg c/8h.... For this there is no problem, the problem is when this gentleman begins with the treatment, it happens that he began the treatment a day after the visit to the doctor (Friday exactly) at 8:00 am he took a tablet of Diclofenac Sodium 50mg, then at about 2:00 pm as he had not presented clinical improvement decided on his own to take a tablet of Diclofenac Potassium this ves of 100mg. ... (before continuing with the story you have to know that the maximum dose of Diclofenac is 200 mg per day) At this time they come to my house to help him because he was feeling bad .... 😱

    Interrogatorio / Interrogation

Well, I humbly took my sphygmomanometer and stethoscope to assess vital signs and verify the veracity of what the lady was telling me.... To my surprise when I arrived on the scene, the patient was pale, sweaty and shaky. His blood pressure was 140/100 mmHg, unfortunately I did not take my glucometer with me but I was almost sure that he had hypoglycemia, I told them to take him as soon as possible to the health center to administer a solution (probably Dextrose 5% which was what he probably needed).... But before that I asked them what had happened? how many tablets he had taken, and they told me that only one, and I told them that it was very strange that with only one tablet he was presenting these symptoms, it was not until the gentleman told me the truth and that is that he had taken a 50mg tablet at 8:00 am and even before 8 hours had passed he was already taking another tablet of 100mg and not satisfied with that of another presentation (that is, first he took one of diclofenac sodium and then one of the potassium).

The next day I see the lady and I ask her how the man arrived, to which she tells me that this gentleman arrived fainting (probably due to hypoglycemia), indeed when they do a capillary glycemia test, it was 35 mg/dL... If you did not know, you can die much faster from hypoglycemia than from hyperglycemia or arterial hypertension. Guys, this gentleman could die for the simple fact of abusing this medication, I know many people who are like this and they risk a lot, you are worth too much to be playing with your lives! I send you a big hug, God bless you and I hope you never go through this.... Pd: Sorry again for the bad quality of the audio, see you!
