Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, me da mucho gusto poder estar con ustedes una vez más en la gran tarima de Open mic. La temática esta vez es “Otaku” así que he querido cantar la canción de uno de los “anime” que me acompaño en mi infancia. Se trata del Ending Candy Candy un anime que se popularizo entre los años 1976 y 1979. A pesar de que el opening fue mucho más pegajoso y conocido, a mí me encantaba el Ending, en esos episodios tristes donde la pobre Candy sufría tanto, yo a mis 6 añitos terminaba llorando con esta hermosa canción que prometía esperanza.

La letra me parece extraordinaria y dulce, tiene todos esos elementos que acompañan esas tristezas juveniles y a mí incluso después de adulta me ilumina de esperanza los instantes en que la escucho. Tenía mucho tiempo sin hacerlo, así que ha suido fascinante reencontrarme con ella. Como siempre open mic propiciando reencuentros maravillosos. Espero les guste mi versión a capela, la he hecho con mucho amor, me despido hasta pronto.

Hive Open Mic WEEK 167 / Candy Candy Ending / @jetta.amaya (Spanish/English)

A loving greeting to all my friends of Hive, it gives me great pleasure to be with you once again on the big stage of Open mic. The theme this time is "Otaku" so I wanted to sing the song of one of the "anime" that accompanied me in my childhood. It is the Ending Candy Candy, an anime that was popularized between 1976 and 1979. Although the opening was much more catchy and well known, I loved the Ending, in those sad episodes where poor Candy suffered so much, I at my 6 years old ended up crying with this beautiful song that promised hope.

I find the lyrics extraordinary and sweet, it has all those elements that accompany those youthful sadnesses and even after adulthood it illuminates me with hope when I listen to it. I hadn't done it for a long time, so it has been fascinating to meet her again. As always, open mic brings about wonderful encounters.
