Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, nuevamente me encuentro acá rockeando con ustedes en esta bella comunidad. Para esta semana escogí la canción “La negra Tomasa” de la banda mexicana de rock Caifanes. Por supuesto, originalmente este tema fue compuesto por el músico cubano Guillermo Rodríguez Fiffe en el año 1937, pero una de las versiones más sonada es la de la banda ochentera de rock Caifanes.

Esta es en realidad una de mis versiones favoritas de esta icónica canción, que en poco menos de 20 años cumplirá un siglo de estar sonando. Se dice que Caifanes solía tocar esta canción al terminar los conciertos y esta costumbre fue lo que motivo a grabar el tema. Por una parte fue muy bien recibida ya que los fans disfrutaban de este tema popular interpretado por su banda favorita, sin embargo la movida rockera no lo vio tan bien y estigmatizaron la banda por esta iniciativa.

Lo cierto es que La negra Tomasa es una canción de todas las épocas y gracias a Caifanes ha sonado en más espacios y por más tiempo. Así que dejando a un lado los prejuicios, vale la pena disfrutar de una gran canción interpretada por una gran banda. Disfrute mucho interpretándola para ustedes esta semana.
