Creative-Sunday || A look back at our Father's Day Program

After recording some of the performances by the Fathers in my church in celebration of Father's Day today, I changed my mind about publishing the cover of the song I recorded for today's creative Sunday. So, the cover will wait until next Sunday. It can wait, hehe.

We all know that Father's Day occurs once a year, unlike Mother's Day, Women's Day, and more, which occur more frequently.

My creative Sunday for today is about what happened during the Father's Day program, and I'll show you a video so you can see what happened.

The service today was conducted by the fathers. They handled everything from the start to the end of the service. As usual, it started with the opening prayer and continued with the Sunday School, which lasted for 30 minutes from the start.

Immediately following Sunday School, the congregational prayers lasted for 10 minutes, followed by a praise and worship session that lasted for 20 minutes. We sang the hymn after congregational prayers, followed by a welcome address, and then the drama group presented. Unfortunately, I didn't record it, so I just listened.

It wasn't long after that that the other varieties kicked off, and I felt motivated to record them.

During the variety program, there was a dance competition. Remember those dancing competitions that we used to have at birthday parties when we were children? The chairs are arranged in a circle, and we dance around them. This was the game the fathers started with.

Four fathers were called out, and three chairs were arranged around them. Among the fathers who were called out, one was my father. Our keyboardist played a melody for them to dance around.

Following this was the rendition from the Men's Choir, in continuation of the Father's Day program.

I am a member of my church's choir, and they rendered a song we have sung before, so I know the song very well. I was also present during their rehearsal and discussed their challenges with them.

I found it hilarious and annoying how the director misled the choir and made them sing when they weren't supposed to.

The moment I noticed what was happening, I joined them in singing while signalling to them when they needed to pause and when to sing. In the video, you will hear my voice.

Eventually, they were able to get back on track until it came time for them to come out one by one and dance. As you can see in the video, many of the fathers there are good dancers. Again, my dad surprised me when it was his turn.

It was like Beyonce saying she gets overtaken by something special when she gets on stage, and she named it Sasha Fierce.

Then my dad came out and did a dance move no one expected My stomach wanted to burst from laughing too hard, but I tried as hard as I could to remain still. After the rendition and dance ended, we continued the varieties.

One of the anchors walked up to the mothers in the house and asked them what kind of movie their husbands watch when they just want to unwind. Some of the responses were hilarious.

Afterwards, we heard the presentation from the children, and then we listened to the word of God while the auditorium went silent. Finally, we had the announcement, the offering, the sharing of grace, and the meal.

During today's service, I had a lot of fun. In honor of Father's Day today, I decided to use today's creative Sunday post to also celebrate the fathers and potential fathers in my life.
