Welcome to Week 190 of the Hive Open Mic Challenge. The theme for this week is “Grace”! I’m quite sick this week, so I’m going to keep my write up a bit short this week, sorry…

For those of you who don’t know, I’ve decided to alter my Three Tune Tuesday posts to be based around the Hive Open Mic theme of the week, and how I would go about tackling it. In that post, I knew a lot of people would be choosing hymns like the classic “Amazing Grace”.

However, let me attempt to be different and do “Graceland” – the vibrant, bouncy title track from the album that Paul Simon made when he visited my home country of South Africa in the late 1980’s. He received some criticism for this because artists were supposed to be boycotting South Africa because of its racist Apartheid laws at the time, but Paul Simon actually worked with several South African artists including Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and “Graceland” is thought to be one of the best albums of all time!

Sin embargo, permítanme intentar ser diferente y hacer “Graceland”, la vibrante y vivaz canción principal del álbum que Paul Simon hizo cuando visitó mi país natal, Sudáfrica, a finales de los años 1980.
