Hola amigos de Hive, a continuación quiero compartir con ustedes el Demo de un juego lazado en 2001 llamado Ducati World Racing, un juego de careras de motos que al revisar en mis antiguos discos de PC me di cuenta de que nunca lo había probado, así que después de 22 años decidí instalarlo para ver que tal era.

Hello friends of Hive, next I want to share with you the Demo of a game released in 2001 called Ducati World Racing, a motorcycle racing game that when I checked my old PC disks I realized that I had never tried it, so after 22 years I decided to install it to see how it was.

En esta oportunidad no les acompaño con voz en el video, no sentí que fuese tan necesario comentarlo, pues es un juego bastante simple, y creo que de forma escrita puedo expresarme mejor acerca del juego.

Bueno la verdad he podido probar poco de este juego pues la versión Demo es bastante limitad, tenemos a nuestra disposición solo un circuito, pero si tenemos 3 categoría diferentes y de cada categoría la posibilidad de elegir entre 3 motos diferentes.

Well the truth is that I have not been able to test much of this game because the Demo version is quite limited, we have at our disposal only one circuit, but we have 3 different categories and in each category the possibility to choose between 3 different motorcycles.

Opté por jugar con Joystick en lugar del teclado pues, con joystick los movimientos son mucho más suaves y tenemos un mejor control de la motocicleta- Y bueno creo que el trabajo que hicieron en cuanto a los controles no está nada mal, es posible controlar la moto con precisión, aunque en algunos momentos los movimientos pueden ser toscos y bruscos.

I chose to play with Joystick instead of the keyboard because, with joystick the movements are much smoother and we have a better control of the motorcycle- And well I think the work they did in terms of controls is not bad at all, it is possible to control the bike accurately, although at times the movements can be rough and abrupt.

Los gráficos están bien para la época, pero en aquel momento había gráficos muy superiores, a las motos les falta vistosidad y lo primero que percibí es que parece un juego que no es oficial de Ducati, por que los entornos y las motos son muy básicas no tiene patrocinantes, no hay publicidad, muy pocas cosas típicas de las carreras que nos ayudan a adentrarnos en la atmósfera.

The graphics are good for the time, but at that time there were far superior graphics, the bikes lack of showiness and the first thing I noticed is that it seems a game that is not official Ducati, because the environments and bikes are very basic, it has no sponsors, no advertising, very few typical things of the races that help us to get into the atmosphere.

Otro detalle es la inteligencia de los oponentes, con frecuencia se les ve vueltos locos dando tumbes y cayéndose, como que no tienen muy buen control, la inteligencia artificial no es la más avanzada.

Another detail is the intelligence of the opponents, they are often seen crazy tumbling and falling, as they do not have very good control, artificial intelligence is not the most advanced.

Los efectos de sonido están decentes, la música en el menú suena bastante bien, pero nada que valga la pena destacar. La verdad es que al jugar este Demo, yo no hubiese comprado el juego, pudieron haberse esforzado en ofrecer una mejor versión demo si querían vender. Yo recuerdo en la época Super Bike 2001, y me parecía increíble, un juego de motocicletas del mismo año que superaba por mucho este.

The sound effects are decent, the music in the menu sounds pretty good, but nothing worth mentioning. The truth is that playing this Demo, I would not have bought the game, they could have made an effort to offer a better demo version if they wanted to sell. I remember at the time Super Bike 2001, and I thought it was amazing, a motorcycle game of the same year that surpassed this one by far.

Si puedo salvar algo de este juego es que tiene una bonita vista de simulación, desde el asiento del piloto y da una buena sensación de velocidad, y podría acotar que los entornos está bien diseñados. Pero más allá de eso, me parece un juego pobre que puede quedar engavetado en el baúl de los recuerdos jeje.

If I can save something of this game is that it has a nice simulation view, from the pilot's seat and gives a good feeling of speed, and I could say that the environments are well designed. But beyond that, it seems to me a poor game that can be stuck in the trunk of memories hehe.
