Hola amigos de Hive, en esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes el video y las fotografías de una mosca de la fruta de la familia Drosophilidae, en una ocasión anterior tuve la oportunidad de fotografiar una de ellas y compartirla con ustedes, sin embargo, aquella era distinta a esta, pues hay una diversidad de especies.

Hello friends of Hive, in this opportunity I want to share with you the video and photographs of a fruit fly of the Drosophilidae family, in a previous occasion I had the opportunity to photograph one of them and share it with you, however, that one was different from this one, because there is a diversity of species.

Normalmente cuando tengo la oportunidad de fotografía unos de estos insectos así de cerca, es después de que han caído en el agua donde beben las aves, al rescatarlos de allí y salir mojados no pueden volar, por lo que es una oportunidad perfecta para fotografiarlos mientras se secan y se limpian con sus propias patas.

Normally when I have the opportunity to photograph one of these insects up close, it is after they have fallen into the water where the birds drink, when I rescue them from there and they come out wet they cannot fly, so it is a perfect opportunity to photograph them while they dry and clean themselves with their own legs.

Me llamó la atención su cuerpo alargado, distinto de las otras moscas, y el contraste de unos ojos intensamente rojos con el amarillo de su cuerpo. Esta mosca llegó atraída por la bananas que se coloca para las aves en mi balcón, estas moscas se alimentan de frutas en fermentación como manzanas, bananas, uvas, guayabas etc.

I was struck by its elongated body, distinct from the other flies, and the contrast of intensely red eyes with the yellow of its body. This fly came attracted by the bananas that are placed for birds on my balcony, these flies feed on fermenting fruits such as apples, bananas, grapes, guavas etc..

Estas moscas me resultan muy interesante, y al alimentarse de frutas únicamente, no resulta molestas como las demás. Me ha parecido un muy hermoso espécimen, creo que todos los insectos son increíbles, los hay de todas formas y colores y esta mosca es ejemplo de ello.

I find these flies very interesting, and since they feed only on fruits, they are not annoying like the others. I found it a very beautiful specimen, I think all insects are amazing, there are all shapes and colors and this fly is an example of it.
