I welcome all music lovers to another week of afri-tunes, where we celebrate African musician and their songs.
After a lot of contemplation on choice of song that can speak my mind and thought,I decided to sing a song by Sonnie Badu tittled ''IMANI".
Sonnie Badu is an African gospel artist, based in Ghana, even though he was born in United States, his love for African can never be overstated,He is known for his diverse African language speaking, He could speak more than 20 African languages and most of his lyrics are african.
''IMANI'' is a swahili word which means ''FAITH'' or ''BELIEVE''. This is the main reason I chose this song,I love the word faith!
Faith works for people that believes in God, this made me remember when I was suffering from a disease while I was younger, it was a life threatening one, Which affected me for almost a year.
My mum would make me pray even though I was young, she would make me believe in the power of faith and I so did. Thanks to God it is now a testimony to speak about.
I decided to go for this song to beseech people never to give up, there's nothing too big for God, pray to Him and back it up with faith, definitely everything shall work well.
