Hello Hive gamer community, today I want to show you a game that has been for me the place to relax and have fun.

If you are one of those people who enjoy games that simulate life, resource management, decoration, survival, this game may be for you.

Introducing Palia, a roll play style indie game developed by Singularity 6 set in a magical natural world full of forests, beaches, hunting adventures and more. It is important to mention that is currently in OPEN BETA and it is FREE and you can find it for PC at Palia.com or Epic Games and it was recently added to the Nintendo Switch.

Les presento Palia, un juego indie del estilo roll play, desarrollado por Singularity 6 ambientado en un mágico mundo natural lleno de bosques, playas, aventuras cazando y más. Es importante mencionar que está en fase BETA ABIERTA, es GRATIS y que pueden encontrarlo para PC en su pagina Palia.com o en Epic Games y además fue recientemente añadido a la Nintendo Switch.

The initial story of Palia tells us that the human race has ceased to exist many years ago and we (the real players) have been summoned through a phoenix statue which is in fact where we are born when we first create our character.

La historia inicial de Palia nos cuenta que la raza humana ha dejado de existir hace muchos años y nosotros (los jugadores reales) hemos sido invocados a través de una estatua de fénix que es de hecho donde nacemos cuando creamos nuestro personaje por primera vez.

In this game our objective will be to go through the two maps that exists for now Kilima and Bahari in search of basic resources that will help us to build tools, cook and hunt. It is very similar to the game Stardew Valley only that Palia has similar graphics to the Sims.

We will also have to complete various missions that we will have with the villagers and we will be able to develop the history of each one deepening if we become good friends. The maximum friendship level is 4 and when we reach 3 we can start a romance with some of them (yes, we can make our character fall in love with villagers).

En este juego nuestro objetivo será recorrer los dos mapas existentes por ahora, Kilima y Bahari en búsqueda de recursos básicos que nos servirán para construir herramientas, cocinar, cazar. Es muy parecido al juego Stardew Valley solo que Palia tiene gráficos parecidos a los sims.
También tendremos que completar diversas misiones que tendremos con los aldeanos y podremos desarrollar la historia de cada uno profundizando si nos hacemos buenos amigos. El nivel de amistad máximo es 4 y al llegar al 3 podemos iniciar romance con algunos de ellos (sí, podemos hacer que nuestro personaje enamore a aldeanos).

We have 8 skills that we must upgrade as we advance in the game: fishing, hunting, bug hunting, carpentry, cooking, gardening, mining and foraging. For each of these skills we have special tools such as the axe, the pickaxe, the fishing rod, etc. Each of these skills in turn has different achievements by the way.

Tenemos 8 habilidades que debemos ir subiendo a medida que avanzamos en el juego: pesca, cacería, cacería de bichos, carpintería, cocina, jardinería, minería y forraje. Para cada una de estas habilidades poseemos herramientas especiales como el hacha, el pico, la caña de pescar, etc. Cada una de estas habilidades a su vez poseen logros por cierto.

Gardening / Jardinería

Gardening will help us to have crops for our cooking recipes that we will eat or that we can give to the villagers. It also serves to create bait for fishing. Every 12hs (6:00pm and 6:00am) we must water and harvest the crops. Some crops take several days, others can be harvested every 12 hours.

La jardinería nos ayudará a tener cultivos para nuestras recetas de cocina que comeremos o podemos obsequiarle a los aldeanos. También sirve para crear cebo para la pesca. Cada 12hs (6:00pm y 6:00am) debemos regar y recoger los cultivos. Algunos cultivos se toman varios días, otros cada 12hs se pueden recoger.

Cooking / Cocina

Cooking is obviously for eating but besides that, in this game eating is essential because it will give us an improvement of experience in all our skills. The purple bar in the upper left corner indicates our level of concentration. Luckily in this game we can't starve to death, but if the bar is empty we won't gain any experience. So we must make sure to keep it full by eating.

Cocinar sirve para comer obviamente pero además de eso, en este juego comer es esencial porque nos otorgará una mejora de experiencia en todas nuestras habilidades. La barra morada que está en la esquina superior izquierda indica nuestro nivel de concentración. Por suerte en este juego no podemos morir de hambre, pero si la barra está vacía no ganaremos nada de experiencia. Así que debemos asegurarnos de mantenerla llena comiendo.

Fishing / Pesca

Fishing will help us to cook expensive and rare dishes such as sushi and also to fulfill some orders required by the villagers. To fish you must be patient because it is a slow skill to rise, as in real life. 🤣 In Palia there are have different places where we can catch different fish, rivers, beaches, caves, lagoons.

La pesca nos ayudará para cocinar platillos costosos y raros como el sushi y además a cumplir con algunos pedidos que requerirán los aldeanos. Para pescar se debe tener paciencia pues es una habilidad lenta de subir, como en la vida real. 🤣 En Palia tenemos diferentes lugares donde podemos pescar diferentes peces, ríos, playas, cuevas, lagunas.

Hunting and Bugs Hunting / Cacería y cacería de bichos

In bow hunting we can hunt three different types of animals that exist in Palia, the sernuks, the chapaas and the muujins. They will give us leather, fur and meat.

En la caza con arco podemos cazar tres tipos diferentes de animales que existen en Palia, los sernuks, las chapaas y los muujins. Nos darán cuero, piel y carne.

In the bug hunt we will be able to find a great variety of insects, from butterflies, crickets, catarinas and others. These bugs will give us silk thread and will also be useful for some baits.

En la caza de bichos podremos encontrar una gran variedad de insectos, desde mariposas, grillos, catarinas y otros. Estos bichos nos darán hilo de seda y también serán útiles para algunos cebos.

Mining / Minería

With mining we will be able to find diverse minerals that will help us in the construction of objects, decorations and also to improve our tools. Minerals are usually found all over the map scattered on stones like the ones in the photo. We have the minerals copper, iron, silver, gold and the rarest one is called pallium.

Con la minería podremos encontrar diversos minerales que nos ayudarán en la construcción de objetos, decoraciones y también a mejorar nuestras herramientas. Los minerales suelen encontrarse por todo el mapa esparcidos en piedras como las de la foto. Tenemos los minerales cobre, hierro, plata, oro y el más raro se llama palio.

In addition to the minerals, recently they added precious stones such as amethyst, jade, quartz, onyx, etc. These stones sell for high prices and are a good way to generate in-game gold.

Además de los minerales, recientemente han añadido piedras preciosas como amatista, jade, cuarzo, ónice, etc. Estas piedras se venden a precios elevados y son una buena forma de generar oro en el juego.

Foraging and Carpentry / Forraje y carpintería

Carpentry and foraging although they are two different skills are united in their explanation. Basically with foraging is the collection of everything we see on the map, such as fruits, plants, wood after cutting it, shells in the sea, corals, moss, etc. Carpentry makes use of all those materials in the craft bench to create objects.

Carpintería y forraje, aunque son dos habilidades diferentes, se unen en su explicación. Básicamente el forrajeo es la recolección de todo lo que vemos en el mapa, como frutas, plantas, la madera después de cortarla, conchas del mar, corales, musgo, etc. La carpintería aprovecha todos esos materiales y las usa en el banco de manualidades para crear objetos.

Customization / Personalización

In Palia we have quite extensive customization, when we create our character for the first time we choose an appearance, hairstyle, eye color, makeup and an outfit that can be changed once we build our wardrobe. There are many free costumes, however, this is where we will find the premium part of the video game since there are costumes that can only be obtained by purchasing them with real money. This is the way Singularity 6 supports the game.

En Palia tenemos una personalización bastante amplia, cuando creamos nuestro personaje por primera vez elegimos una apariencia, peinado, color de ojos, maquillaje y un atuendo que podrá ser cambiado una vez construímos nuestro armario. Hay muchos trajes gratuitos sin embargo, acá es donde nos encontraremos con la parte premiun del videojuego pues hay trajes que sólo se consiguen comprándolos con dinero real. Esta es la forma en la que Singularity 6 sustenta el juego.

Housing Decoration / Decoración del hogar

Inside we can decorate with all kinds of furniture and decorations, but that's not all. We can also decorate outside our home, we can put trees, expand the size of the plot, etc.

With carpentry, objects are created that we can later use as decoration inside our house. With decoration you can give free rein to your creativity and furnish everything to your liking. Below I show you some of my rooms.

Adentro podemos decorar con todo tipo de muebles y decoraciones, pero eso no es todo. También podemos decorar fuera de nuestro hogar, podemos poner árboles, ampliar el tamaño de la parcela, etc.
Con la carpintería se crean objetos que luego podemos utilizar como decoración en el interior de nuestra casa. Con la decoración podrás dar rienda suelta a tu creatividad y amueblar todo a tu gusto. A continuación os muestro algunas de mis habitaciones.

Conclusion / Conclusión

This game has caught me because of its cozy style. If you like those types of games I assure you that Palia will catch you. I have been playing it since the open beta came out in August 2023 and since then I have continued to have fun because it is an occasional game that will not pressure you to advance. You can go at your own pace, relax and play to spend the time, enjoy the landscapes and listen to beautiful music.

Este juego me ha atrapado por su estilo cozy. Si te gustan ese tipo de juegos te aseguro que Palia te atrapará. Estoy jugandolo desde que salio la beta abierta en agosto 2023 y desde entonces sigo divirtiéndome pues es un juego ocasional que no te va a presionar para que avances. Puedes ir a tu ritmo, relajarte y jugar para pasar el rato, disfrutar de los paisajes y escuchar música linda.
