HL CREATIVE SUNDAY || SPEECHLESS COVER

Happy new week to you all, I'm super excited to have you stop by to see what this user have for you today. As you all know, it's the creative Sunday and one of the ways I can be creative is singing (so what stops me from entertaining you with it, hehe)and that's why today I'd be sharing a music cover with you hoping that you'd like it.

I did a music cover of one of my favorite songs in the movie called Alladin titled "SPEECHLESS". If you've seen this movie before then it would be very easy for you to relate with the lyrics of the song. It's been a while since I last saw that movie but then I can't forget the part where Naomi Scott sang this song. She is a passionate singer because it was written all over her in the movie. I loved the song so much that I immediately went to download it only for me to see that the princess was Naomi Scott in real Life. I had to listen to that song almost throughout that day because I wanted that particular scene to remain in my head.

Speechless is a song that anyone who feels like they have no say should listen to. Naomi Scott who played as a princess in the movie Alladin was never given the opportunity to err her view on anything because she was a girl. She was also told everything she needed to do and not to make any choice of her own. This made her really sad and lonely until she found Alladin who was a nobody but somehow was introduced to her as a prince from an unknown Land, thanks to his genie.

After several encounter with Alladin, they both grew interest in themselves and from that point onward, the princess started doing things the way she wanted but in secret until she finally stood up to her evil Uncle who never wanted her to voice out anything. And that was when she sang the song speechless, "try to lock me in this cage, I will just lay me down and die, I will take this broken wings and let it burn across the sky... Hear the echo saying I won't be silenced".

From that moment onwards, her Uncle knew it was no longer business as usual and he tried to hurt her. And just like her Uncle, there are so many people around us that don't want us to speak but to remain speechless but we should never let them shut us down. We should always try to speak up when we are hurt and not hold our pain in. Speak up so you can healed from within, never give people the opportunity to let you go speechless.

I do hope I did a good job with my Acapella cover. I must say, the song was really daring for me because I struggled to hold myself from breathing and I guess that was obvious at some point, so you can expect that, hehe. I was literally struggling 😂 but I did enjoy the process but it was tiring because I had to keep singing it over and over until I got a manageable one.
