Un saludo a todos mis colegas del Hive Open Mic.

Con mucha alegría de estar una vez más compartiendo tarima internacional con personas tan maravillosas, ésta semana se inicia con una temática muy linda "Música para niños" de nuestra querida artista destacada @aly.squid.

Creo que todos los que participamos en éste Evento Descentralizado luchamos siempre contra varios obstáculos, es difícil tratar de equilibrar la calidad de nuestras participaciones con el tiempo, es un reto que conlleva hacer vida musical en Hive, lo cual me emociona mucho porque ésa presión de lograr lo mejor en poco tiempo me ha hecho mejorar mucho como músico.

Es un grandioso hábito el subir semanalmente mis participaciones por acá y apoyar a otros usuarios, aportando mi granito de arena para que el Ecosistema de Hive, crezca y se expanda hacia nuevas fronteras.

Greetings to all my Hive Open Mic colleagues.

With great joy to be once again sharing the international stage with such wonderful people, this week starts with a very nice theme "Music for children" by our dear featured artist @aly.squid.

I think all of us who participate in this Decentralized Event always fight against several obstacles, it is difficult to try to balance the quality of our participations with time, it is a challenge that comes with making musical life in Hive, which excites me a lot because that pressure to achieve the best in a short time has made me improve a lot as a musician.

It's a great habit to upload weekly my participations here and support other users, contributing my grain of sand so that the Hive Ecosystem grows and expands to new frontiers.

¿Una mandolina de 7 cuerdas?

Si detallan bien la mandolina, se darán cuenta que tiene 7 cuerdas! Como es habitual, las mandolinas tienen 8 cuerdas, lo que sucede es que tengo un problema con la cejilla superior del instrumento, y el deterioro es tal que no me permite instalar el par de la cuerda Nº2.

Sin embargo, éso no impide que siga tocando y estudiando éste maravilloso instrumento que me acompañó muchísimo desde la pandemia, ya que cuando estuvimos en cuarentena masiva, aprendí a tocar mandolina para distraerme del encierro.

En los próximos días espero reparar a mi fiel amiga y seguir participando con ella en los distintos eventos musicales de Hive.

A 7-string mandolin?

If you detail well the mandolin, you will notice that it has 7 strings! As usual, mandolins have 8 strings, what happens is that I have a problem with the upper capo of the instrument, and the deterioration is such that it does not allow me to install the pair of the Nº2 string.

However, that does not prevent me to continue playing and studying this wonderful instrument that accompanied me since the pandemic, because when we were in massive quarantine, I learned to play mandolin to distract me from the confinement.

In the coming days I hope to repair my faithful friend and continue to participate with her in the various musical events of Hive.

La Canción que escogí para ésta temática se llama Camptown Races y es una de ésas canciones que alguna vez que escuchaste cuando eras niño pero que nunca supiste como se llamaba 😂

Ésta alegre y divertida canción la uso de vez en cuando con mis estudiantes de nivel inicial de la guitarra, los pongo a tocar la melodía mientras yo los acompaño, realmente no conozco mucho acerca de la historia de la canción o del compositor, pero lo que sí intuyo es que es una canción con un aire bastante inocente, juguetón e infantil.

The song I chose for this theme is called Camptown Races and it's one of those songs that you heard as a kid but never knew what it was called 😂.

This cheerful and fun song I use from time to time with my beginning level guitar students, I have them play the melody while I accompany them, I don't really know much about the history of the song or the composer, but what I do sense is that it's a song with a rather innocent, playful and childlike feel to it.
