Fun time at Christmas Carol Service

Even though the month of December has been a hell of a busy month for me, in a good way though, making Christmas dresses for friends and family can be tasking and takes all of my time, it's my passion and being able to give in my own little way is what I'm grateful for to be able to spread joy through this service.

No, I haven't travelled, visited amusement park, beaches and the likes even though I had plans to do at least one of the above, but I've had the opportunity of spending time with family, both near and far, I won't be talking about our fun family time at home anymore as my sister @jessicaossom already did justice to that in her post [here](, we celebrated my mum's birthday which took place yesterday December 25th, I will be instead writing about the fun moment we had as a family at our church's carol service which also took place on Sunday, if there is one event I don't miss every Christmas period, It is Christmas Carol Service, I make sure to invite my friends and family to come have fun in the presence of God, it is usually organized as a concert, lots of presentation from singing of christmas carols, drama, choreography, lot's of dancing, the goal of the event is to put everyone in a happy mood, if you came to the church in a sad mood, there is no way you would be leaving the same way, there is every assurance you would feel cheerful after the carol service and its free entry to all.

During the holiday period, there are different Christmas concert organized by different organizations or artists, and their tickets are usually expensive for most people, especially the middle/low class, but Carol services like the one organized by my church give everybody the chance to come share in the joy of Christmas when the whole presentation is done, Father Christmas comes in a surprise with his bag of goodies, he carries the children, takes pictures with everyone, and shares his gift, we also take out our candles, Light it on while we sing the Christmas songs with joy, laughter, and happiness.

The Christmas celebration reminds us that we have hope in Christ and shouldn't let negative thoughts and feelings take that from us, I'm glad to have a nice time in the carol service, it filled my heart with much joy. Another interesting activity that also took place was the sharing of gifts, you can't preach love without giving, so everyone is encouraged to come with their gifts, we write our name on a piece of paper, fold and drip it in a basket, which is then passed round for everyone to choose a different name, you are giving your gift to the name you chose and whoever chooses you, you receive their gift, it's always fun trust me, I got a bottle of wine this Christmas ready to make a cheer and very grateful to the giver.
