Throwback to my music journey | TBT (ENG-ESP)

It's throwback Thursday once again 🕺and it's always a delight to relieve the memory of great moments of the past. My throwback this week is about my journey in music which all started with a passion as a little boy and has now yielded to a big productive journey which has produced keyboardist and has also been a blessing and encouragement to others. Kindly follow through and it will be worthwhile.

It all started as a little boy with a passion for Music whose brother is a keyboardist, after much persuasions, my brother began teaching me about music in general and keyboard in specific. Earlier before this, i had been in Church Choir as playing drumset set and some local percussion instruments. So i started learning the electric keyboard 🎹 from my brother and we mostly do the practical in Church. Gradually, i started picking up and with consistent rearshals it got better day by day. My first time of playing during a Church Service was a good starting point for me which i can never forget, all of this right in my Junior Secondary School days then.

By the time i got admission to my Senior Secondary School, i was way better and so i continued. At the end of secondary school education with consistent rearshals and by the Grace of God because it is a privilege, i was doing great in it and it continued up until now. In my Pre-University days, i join a Church choral group and played likewise during my undergraduate days as well in the University. During my undergraduate days, i became the instrumentalists coordinator, assistant music coordinator and played at different services, programs and events. Infact, i also joined my faculty Christian Students Choir and played at the annual event aswell.

After graduation from the University, i went for the mandatory one year national service in the northern part of my country and still joined the choir and played there. Now back in the South where i came from, I'm still doing music and now with my wife.
All these memories are important to me because it shows that truly there is no end to learning once it comes with a passion or desire and also, we get better over time if consistent. I learnt the power of consistency, passion, growth etc from these memories and the impact is great as it has brought me wonderful connections, taught me team work, produced other keyboardist, open doors for me and so on. It is all by the grace of God and it is a huge privilege as well, never give up on your passion. Thank you everyone.

Es jueves de retroceso una vez más 🕺 y siempre es un placer aliviar el recuerdo de grandes momentos del pasado. Mi recuerdo de esta semana es sobre mi viaje en la música, que comenzó con una pasión cuando era un niño pequeño y ahora ha dado paso a un gran viaje productivo que ha producido teclista y también ha sido una bendición y aliento para otros. Por favor siga adelante y valdrá la pena.

Todo comenzó cuando era un niño pequeño apasionado por la música cuyo hermano es teclista, después de muchas persuasiones, mi hermano comenzó a enseñarme sobre música en general y teclado en específico. Antes de esto, había estado en el Coro de la Iglesia tocando la batería y algunos instrumentos de percusión locales. Entonces comencé a aprender el teclado eléctrico 🎹 con mi hermano y principalmente hacemos las prácticas en la Iglesia. Poco a poco, comencé a mejorar y, con constantes intentos, mejoró día a día. La primera vez que jugué durante un servicio religioso fue un buen punto de partida para mí que nunca podré olvidar, todo esto en mis días de escuela secundaria.

Cuando conseguí la admisión en mi escuela secundaria superior, estaba mucho mejor y así continué. Al terminar la educación secundaria con constantes retrocesos y por la Gracia de Dios porque es un privilegio, me iba muy bien y así continúa hasta ahora. En mis días preuniversitarios, me uní a un grupo coral de la Iglesia y también toqué durante mis días universitarios en la Universidad. Durante mis días de estudiante, me convertí en coordinadora de instrumentistas, asistente de coordinación de música y toqué en diferentes servicios, programas y eventos. De hecho, también me uní al Coro de Estudiantes Cristianos de mi facultad y también toqué en el evento anual.

Después de graduarme de la Universidad, hice el servicio nacional obligatorio de un año en la parte norte de mi país y aun así me uní al coro y toqué allí. Ahora, de vuelta en el Sur, de donde vengo, sigo haciendo música y ahora con mi esposa.
Todos estos recuerdos son importantes para mí porque muestran que realmente el aprendizaje no tiene fin una vez que viene con una pasión o un deseo y, además, mejoramos con el tiempo si somos constantes. Aprendí el poder de la coherencia, la pasión, el crecimiento, etc. de estos recuerdos y el impacto es grande ya que me ha brindado conexiones maravillosas, me ha enseñado a trabajar en equipo, ha producido otros teclistas, me ha abierto puertas, etc. Todo es por la gracia de Dios y también es un gran privilegio, nunca renuncies a tu pasión.
