It is another wonderful Sunday, I wish us all a prosperous week and also a lovely day.
Today I will be preparing boiled bean and pepper sauce which most Yoruba people call "Ewa agoyin" It combo is mainly cooked by the Yorubas, it is so delicious from the other ways of cooking beans or maybe I should say I prefer to eat my beans like this because I do not like the porridge type.
Beans
Pepper
Tomatoes
Salt
Chicken(optional)
Seasoning cubes
Red oil
Onions
As I mentioned in my video, the first step I always do is to parboil my beans, after picking the beans boil them beans for five minutes, and drain the water from the beans, I prefer to do this because most of the beans here are always planted with chemicals which can be dangerous to our health, so I will drain the water and rinse thoroughly until the water is clean.
Place your clean pot back on your cooking gas and add water into it, leave it to boil and add the beans into it, add a little amount of salt to taste, and cover to cook for minutes, some beans can take up to an hour, just add enough water to it.
Now that we are done with the beans we can proceed to the sauce, wash the pepper and tomatoes thoroughly, and blend, place your frying pan on your cooking gas add your red oil to it, and allow to bleach for a minute, then add your sliced onions into it and mix.
Leave it for a minute, then add your blended pepper to it and mix thoroughly, after some minutes add the seasoning cubes and salt it, mix, and cover for seconds, add your protein into the sauce, by this time you can see that the sauce is getting ready but if you want to know if the sauce is ready, the red oil will float on top of the sauce then your sauce is ready and ready to serve.
this is my creative Sunday project and it is very lovely, thank you for your support.
