Esta semana me conecté con canciones hechas por venezolanos, empecé encantada con Tonada de luna llena de Simón Díaz, embebida en tres grandiosos covers de esta canción. En mi publicación para el Three Tunes Tuesday, les expliqué lo mucho que me gustaban estas versiones y fue muy grato leer sus opiniones en los comentarios.

This week I connected with songs made by Venezuelans, I started off enchanted with Tonada de luna llena by Simón Díaz, embedded in three great covers of this song. In my post for Three Tunes Tuesday, I explained how much I liked these versions and it was great to read your opinions in the comments.

Motivada por este tema decidí grabar un par de canciones hechas por venezolanos y esta es una de ellas, es un merengue venezolano compuesto por Simón Díaz. Una letra llena de pasión y romanticismo, con exquisitas metáforas que hablan de la belleza de la naturaleza comparada con la belleza femenina.

Motivated by this topic I decided to record a couple of songs made by Venezuelans and this is one of them, it is a Venezuelan merengue composed by Simón Díaz. A lyric full of passion and romanticism, with exquisite metaphors that speak of the beauty of nature compared to feminine beauty.

Conocer y cantar música de tu país es algo magnífico, siento que como cantantes nos ayuda a crecer y forma una sensibilidad suprema al momento de interpretar diferentes géneros, no podría imaginarme cantando sin haber interpretado alguna canción de mi tierra. Amar nuestra esencia es el primer paso de aceptación personal, saber de dónde venimos, conocer nuestras raíces, amar esos sonidos y hacerlos parte del cantante que somos.

To know and sing music from your country is something magnificent, I feel that as singers it helps us to grow and forms a supreme sensitivity when interpreting different genres, I could not imagine myself singing if I had ever interpreted a song from my homeland. Loving our essence is the first step of personal acceptance, knowing where we come from, knowing our roots, loving those sounds and making them part of the singer we are.

Siento un respeto inmenso por la música de mi país y es un gran orgullo poder interpretarla, las veces que he podido hacerlo delante del público ha sido una experiencia encantadora poder ver la reacción de quienes escuchan, espero que ustedes también disfruten de esta canción que me encanta cantar.

I feel immense respect for the music of my country and it is a great pride to be able to interpret it, the times I have been able to do it in front of the public has been a lovely experience, being able to see the reaction of those who listen, I hope you also enjoy this song that I love to sing.
