Creo que ya no es ningún secreto que yo soy amante de las aves, lo he dicho cientos de veces y además soy muy obvia, pero ahora quiero llevar este amor por las aves a otro nivel: a través del origami.

I think it's no secret that I'm a bird lover, I've said it hundreds of times and I'm very obvious, but now I want to take this love for birds to another level: through origami.

Recientemente estuve pensando que quería aprender a hacer origamis de aves, los cuales he visto muchos tutoriales y son bastante difíciles, aunque ya he hecho unos pares. Busque en internet algunos tutoriales fáciles de recordar porque siempre me pierdo a la hora de hacer los dobleces y encontré unos muy bonitos, entre los cuales estaban estas hermosas cotorras australianas de dos colores y justo me venía como anillo al dedo porque tenía papel glacé que me sobro de otro origami, así que puse manos a la obra y hoy quiero traerlas a esta bella comunidad acompañadas del humor extraño de Buhito.

Recently I was thinking that I wanted to learn how to make origami birds, which I have seen many tutorials and they are quite difficult, although I have already made a couple of them. I searched the internet for some easy to remember tutorials because I always get lost when it comes to making the folds and I found some very nice ones, among which were these beautiful Australian parrots of two colors and just came like a glove because I had some glace paper left over from another origami, so I got down to work and today I want to bring them to this beautiful community accompanied by the strange humor of Buhito.

Hablando de Buhito, la idea de aprender a hacer estas cotorras australianas surgió del viaje que hizo Buhito a Australia, que por cierto fue un total secreto, ni yo me entere que ese búho descarado se escapó a Australia y ni me invito, pero bueno, se lo dejare pasar solo por el hecho de que me pidió que le hiciera estas cotorras porque se quedó con las ganas de tener una en su nido porque obviamente las reales no se pueden tener en una jaula, mejor que sean de papel.

Speaking of Buhito, the idea of learning how to make these Australian parrots came from Buhito's trip to Australia, which by the way was a total secret, I didn't even find out that this cheeky owl escaped to Australia and didn't even invite me, but well, I'll let it go just for the fact that he asked me to make these parrots because he wanted to have one in his nest because obviously the real ones can't be kept in a cage, they better be made of paper.

Dejando a un lado mi resentimiento hacia este emplumado que se fue de viaje a escondidas, estas aves son una belleza por donde las mires. Sus colores, su tamaño, esos rostros picaros que tienen, dan ganas de darles un abrazo y besarlas, pero lo ideal es respetarlas y dejarlas en su hábitat y esto lo digo porque al ser tan llamativas, son vendidas de forma ilegal al igual que muchas otras aves y otros animales. Es una lástima que en pleno siglo XXI se sigan llevando a cabo estas crueldades.

Leaving aside my resentment towards this feathered bird that went on a sneaky trip, these birds are a beauty wherever you look at them. Their colors, their size, and their mischievous faces make you want to give them a hug and kiss them, but the ideal is to respect them and leave them in their habitat, and I say this because, being so striking, they are sold illegally like many other birds and animals. It is a shame that in the 21st century these cruelties are still carried out.
