Prácticamente, hecho un manojo de nervios, me empeñé esta mañana en grabarme para hacer este video, donde me enfrento a mi timidez una vez más, para hacer algo bien loco para variar. Sé también que pudo quedar mucho mejor, pero la verdad es que no soy para nada un experto ni mucho menos, después de varios intentos fallidos escogí este porque si las pienso no lo hago, además la intención era hacer algo diferente, para divertirse que de eso se trata la vida.

Siempre me ha gustado el arte en general, siempre con preferencia por las artes plásticas, pero la música también ha sido un factor fundamental en mi vida, como mismo lo es para todos, pues no me imagino un mundo sin sonoridad. Es como esa especie de inquietud que te invade por momentos, te llena por dentro de energía sin igual, te lleva hacer cosas como estas.

Jamás se me hubiera ocurrido grabarme haciendo lo que verán en el video, donde comparto una parte de mí de la que no hablo mucho, la de un chico que un día pasara por una vidriera de una tienda de ARTEX en Pinar del Río, Cuba, viera una guitarra y sin pensarlo gastase sus ahorros en ella. Esta guitarra no es de las buenas, quizás su sonoridad es pobre; sin embargo, para mí ha sido una compañera fiel de tantos momentos de alegría, tristeza e incluso soledad.

Nunca he recibido clases de música, ni de tocar la guitarra, a no ser ese banco de videos de YouTube donde te muestran como tocar alguna que otra canción popular. De forma autodidacta aprendí algunos acordes usando la app Guitar Tuna, la cual prácticamente me enseñó lo poquito que sé en su versión gratis, más para allá no he caminado. Pero me sorprende como con el tiempo, sin explicármelo, se me había incorporado una especie de oído musical, que escucho una canción y enseguida le saco los acordes en la guitarra, ni preguntes.

Quizás tuviera un poco más de práctica si le pusiera el verdadero empeño que conlleva tocar este instrumento, por eso admiro y respeto mucho a los que llevan ese don de sacarle melodía a tal instrumento tan hermoso. Pero generalmente no me motivo tanto como para explotar lo que pudiera darme ese extra con ella, confieso que así soy prácticamente con todo, pero a veces hay momentos, pensamientos, personas que te llevan a regresar a la sensibilidad.

Comparto este video sin pensarlo mucho, porque si las pienso no lo hago, fueron muchas sesiones donde incluso esta no me gustó mucho, pero sinceramente mejor no iba a quedar. Trato de sacarle un poco de ritmo a esta amiga a cada rato, lo mismo en un molesto apagón que cuando algún sentimiento en particular se posa en mí. Solo quería compartir con ustedes esta especie de inquietud, esta dosis de guitarro-terapia por así llamarlo, que de vez en cuando realizo en algún lugar de mi casa.

Aunque a mi padre le gustaría que tocara "el punto cubano" 🫢, pero que va ahí no llego, mis respetos para todos los que hacen música por acá, para nosotros, por y para la comunidad, se les quiere. Saludos y hasta un próximo video, el cual hummm... está por verse 😂.

Este tema en particular que escogí para el video es de Chayanne, cantante, el cual disfruto mucho el escucharlo por sus melodías, letras románticas y un timbre de voz que, en su época, le movían el suelo a muchos seguidores de su música. Practically, a bundle of nerves, I insisted this morning to record myself to make this video, where I face my shyness once again, to do something crazy for a change. I also know that it could have been much better, but the truth is that I'm not an expert at all, after several failed attempts I chose this one because if I think about it I don't do it, besides the intention was to do something different, to have fun, that's what life is all about.

I have always liked art in general, always with a preference for the visual arts, but music has also been a fundamental factor in my life, as it is for everyone, because I can't imagine a world without sound. It's like that kind of restlessness that invades you at times, fills you inside with unparalleled energy, leads you to do things like this.

It would never have occurred to me to record myself doing what you will see in the video, where I share a part of me that I don't talk much about, that of a boy who one day passed by a window of an ARTEX store in Pinar del Río, Cuba, saw a guitar and without thinking about it spent his savings on it. This guitar is not one of the good ones, perhaps its sonority is poor; however, for me it has been a faithful companion of so many moments of joy, sadness and even loneliness.

Maybe I would have a little more practice if I put the real effort that comes with playing this instrument, that's why I admire and respect very much those who have the gift of getting melody out of such a beautiful instrument. But generally I am not so motivated as to exploit what could give me that extra with it, I confess that I am like that with practically everything, but sometimes there are moments, thoughts, people that lead you to return to sensitivity.

I share this video without thinking about it too much, because if I think about it I don't do it, there were many sessions where even this one I didn't like very much, but sincerely it wasn't going to be better. I try to get a little rhythm out of this friend every now and then, even in an annoying blackout or when a particular feeling comes to me. I just wanted to share with you this kind of restlessness, this dose of guitar-therapy so to speak, that from time to time I do somewhere in my house.
