Welcome back to my blog, you guys! Today I bring you my 3rd entry in @lordbutterfly's VIBES contest; this week there was no special theme so I decided to take a chance on something that would take me out of my comfort zone in vocal register and creativity, so I hope you like it.

¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo mi 3ra participación en el concurso VIBES de @lordbutterfly; esta semana no hubo temática especial así que decidí arriesgarme a buscar algo que me sacara de mi zona de confort en registro y creatividad vocal, así que espero que les guste.

The Song

For this week I decided to look for a song that would be a challenge for me vocally, because I'm going out of my comfort zone, so I needed something that would motivate me to do it; I remembered that there was a group formed by Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak known as "Silk Sonic" and to be honest, this was not my first choice, but the first song was too difficult for me, to the point of hurting my throat a little, so I decided to go for this one called "Smokin On The Window".

I remembered how much I like this song, besides the fact that it fits very well with my voice tone and of course, it made me work the harmonies in an epic way, yes, I decided to make a modification to the original song because it seemed more suitable for the contest that way and of course, it helped me a lot with my register, here I leave you the original version for comparison and the lyrics I used for this version:

Para esta semana decidí buscar una canción que fuera un reto para mí vocalmente, porque ando saliendo de mi zona de confort, así que necesitaba algo que me motivara a ello; recordé que había una agrupación conformada por Bruno Mars y por Anderson .Paak conocida como "Silk Sonic" y siendo sincero, esta no fue mi primera elección, pero la primera canción sí fue demasiado difícil para mí, al punto de lastimarme un poco la garganta, así que decidí irme por esta llamada "Smokin On The Window".

Recordé lo mucho que me gusta esta canción, demás del hecho de que queda muy bien con mi tono de voz y por supuesto, me hizo trabajar las armonías de una forma épica, eso sí, decidí realizar una modificación a la canción original porque me pareció más apta para el concurso de esa forma y por supuesto, me ayudó mucho con mi registro, acá les dejo la versión original para la comparativa y la letra que utilicé para esta versión:
