Un gran saludo a esta hermosa comunidad EspaVlog, encantado de saludarles hoy lunes 19 de septiembre de 2022.

Sabemos muy bien que la mayoría que estamos en esta plataforma de Hive, fuimos estudiantes, como hay otros que lo están haciendo, pero esta pregunta pudiera ser controversial ¿Cuándo estudiabas te copiabas en los exámenes de pruebas?, o ¿Copiabas los trabajos de otro y luego lo presentabas?, ese es un tema de mucho interés y me gustaría analizarlo.

En mi caso particular no les voy a mentir, sí, lo hice en mi época de estudiante de colegio y en más de una oportunidad. Ahora, ¿Por qué lo hacía?, simplemente porque había materias que no me gustaban o no las entendía, como era el caso de Biología y Matemática o de Física y Química. Les tenía fobia a esas materias y, por supuesto, tenía que estudiar para aprobarlas, no obstante, al no entenderlas, optaba por copiarme en los exámenes.

En tercero y cuarto año, utilizaba la famosa “chuleta” o material de apoyo para presentar las pruebas, las preparaba con antelación y los llevaba escondidos en mis útiles escolares. Al momento de las pruebas y debajo de la hoja de examen adjuntaba el material de apoyo y cuando el profesor no miraba, lo sacaba y empezaba a copiar, ese era la manera que lo empleábamos en esa época, porque yo no era el único que lo hacía. Así pasó varias veces con las materias que les mencioné anteriormente, era más que todo con las fórmulas de Física y Matemática, porque me costaba memorizarlas.

Que pasaba después de haber presentado los exámenes, se nos evaluaba y dependiendo si habíamos respondido correctamente las preguntas, se nos aprobaba o raspábamos como decimos aquí en Venezuela.

Ahora bien, ¿era bueno copiarse en los exámenes?, pues, les digo que no está bien, porque no era justo sacar la mejor nota con el mínimo esfuerzo.

Lo cierto es que muchos alumnos siguen usando ese método para aprobar los exámenes, pero no miden las consecuencias negativas que eso acarrea y lo mismo ocurre con el plagio en los trabajos de investigación.

Para ello quiero citar las consecuencias por lo que copiarse está mal, bien sea en un examen de prueba o al realizar un trabajo de investigación.

1- Se engañan a ustedes mismos, ya que están desperdiciando una maravillosa oportunidad de aprender y crecer como personas bien preparadas.

2- Copiarse no es un método que sirve para superar o aprobar un examen, es decir, eso no justifica los medios por lo que la finalidad de aprobar, no prevalece ante el hecho de copiarse.

3- Aprobar copiándose en un examen o haciendo plagio en un trabajo de investigación, es una decepción tanto para el alumno como para el profesor; incluyendo también a los padres y demás personas que confiaron en él o ella.

4- También debe quedar claro a los alumnos que el copiarse bien sea en una prueba o en un trabajo de tipo monográfico, le afectará a largo plazo, porque se supone que habrán aprendido estudiando y se dará por asumido, en realidad, el copiarse no se aprende.

5- Al ser descubierto copiándose en un examen escrito, las sanciones disciplinarias y académicas traerán consecuencias muy negativas en su rendimiento escolar.

Porque recuerdo mucho decir a mis compañeros de clase que se copiaban, “que mientras no me descubran copiando, no pasa nada”. Por lo tanto, estimado amigos, sabemos muy bien que el copiarse no está bien y que debemos procurar siempre, estudiar para aprender y no estudiar por el simple hecho de aprobar y ser merecedores de sacar buenas notas sin hacer el mínimo esfuerzo posible.

Quiero finalizar con esta reflexión, recordarles que, así como los estudiantes se copiaban en los tiempos de colegio, a lo mejor, lo hacen en esta plataforma o en otras para ser calificados con buenas recompensas.

When you were studying, did you copy on other people's exams and papers, or did you copy on other people's exams and papers, that is a very interesting topic and I would like to analyze it.

In my particular case I am not going to lie to you, yes, I did it in my college days and on more than one occasion. Now, why did I do it, simply because there were subjects that I did not like or did not understand, as was the case of Biology and Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry. I had a phobia of those subjects and, of course, I had to study to pass them, but since I didn't understand them, I opted to cheat on my exams.

In third and fourth grade, I used the famous "chuleta" or support material to take the tests, I prepared them in advance and carried them hidden in my school supplies. At the time of the tests and under the exam paper I would attach the support material and when the teacher was not looking, I would take it out and start copying, that was the way we used it at that time, because I was not the only one who did it. It happened several times with the subjects I mentioned before, it was mostly with the formulas of Physics and Mathematics, because it was hard for me to memorize them.

What happened after taking the exams, we were evaluated and depending on whether we had answered the questions correctly, we passed or scratched as we say here in Venezuela.

Now, was it good to cheat on the exams, well, I tell you it is not good, because it was not fair to get the best grade with the least effort.

The truth is that many students continue to use this method to pass exams, but they do not measure the negative consequences that this entails and the same happens with plagiarism in research papers.

To do so, I would like to cite the consequences for which copying is wrong, either in a mock exam or when doing a research paper.

1- You are cheating yourself, since you are wasting a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow as a well-prepared person.

2- Copying is not a method that serves to pass an exam, that is to say, it does not justify the means, so the purpose of passing does not prevail over the fact of copying.

3- Passing an exam by copying or plagiarizing in a research paper is a disappointment for both the student and the teacher, including parents and other people who trusted him or her.

4- It should also be clear to the students that copying either in a test or in a monographic type of work, will affect them in the long run, because it is assumed that they will have learned by studying and it will be taken for granted, in reality, copying is not learned.

5- When caught cheating on a written exam, the disciplinary and academic sanctions will have very negative consequences on their school performance.
Because I remember saying to my classmates who cheated a lot, "as long as I don't get caught cheating, nothing happens". Therefore, dear friends, we know very well that copying is not right and that we should always try to study to learn and not study for the simple fact of passing and being worthy of getting good grades without making the least possible effort.

I would like to end this reflection by reminding you that, just as students copied each other in their school days, perhaps they do it on this platform or on others in order to be graded with good rewards.
