Time has had its effect on me ; the moments that used to be may no longer be as time passes and all I need is someone to hold on to. There is a belief I have in God that has kept me through and here again in this peace I rendered- Hold on to me , I feel reassured that someone is backing me up.

My deepest inspiration for choosing this song can be traced to a dark time of my life where I felt so isolated as though I lost all hope. I was carrying out my self revaluation to check through things in my life and make sure I live a life I can boast about in future. At this point, I needed the most encouragement from people around me because it was a huge task. Huge in the sense that I intentionally avoided doing certain things because I decided to be more intentional of my actions.

Consequently, the support I needed was never available. People I used to call friends packed their baggage out of my life because I wasn't living up to their lifestyle. I was discriminated against, called names for not doing things against my standards and to mention but a few. This was such a depressing moment - at some point I felt like giving up because it seemed like my values were not appropriated by people. And in the midst of this chaos, I found peace and courage in a God that held me throughout. And here I am, singing this melodious song to the most high that saved me from the depression that life wanted to give me.
