Rule Set: Back to Basics and Odd Ones Out
This match is against Mylor. To counter my opponent’s Mylor, I used Bortus. Actually considering that my best deck is that of the water splinter, I really don’t have much choice.
So anyways, the match started as usual. With the “Back to Basic” rule, none of our monsters could use their abilities which mean that we could only depend on magic and range attacks so that our backline could also attack.
I use an almost all-range deck with the exception of Torhilo that was serving as my tank. I believed I have the advantage in this match since my opponent could not use his strongest cards due to the effect of the rule “Odd Ones Out.”
And to make matters worse for my opponent, Mylor’s Thorn ability was only effective against my tank since all of my backlines are range attacks. Moreover, one of his stronger damage dealers, Mushroom Seer was nerfed by Bortus’ -1 magic ability. So yeah, the match was pretty much in the bag.
And that’s that. There's nothing particularly exciting about the match but I do hope you guys manage get some enjoyment from it.
Thanks for watching and reading.
