Hello to everyone in the Music community! Today I bring you a new cover to enjoy. It's the single by the magnificent Annie Lennox, titled 'Why'. One of her biggest hits and one that takes us back to Annie's spectacular first solo album, the album, Diva. Annie Lennox is one of my favorite artists of all time and I had to get this song out as I could, since I have been trying to get this song out for a long time but due to several factors I had not been able to do it. Today, finally, here I have it in my possession and that makes me very happy.

I'll tell you a little about this song and for those who don't know, Annie Lennox belonged to the group Eurythmics along with David Stewart, who was also her partner. Together they lived a romantic relationship full of many ups and downs and great instability, so they ended up separating and it is in 1992 that Annie ends up releasing her debut album, Diva. Same where you can find her single, 'Why'. Apparently the outcome of this relationship served as inspiration for the artist to write the lyrics of the song. In addition to other events such as becoming a mother and the death of her father. At this point the singer seemed to question the why of all these events.

Annie Lennox es una de mis artistas favoritas de todos los tiempos y debía sacar este tema como diera lugar, ya que hace bastante que he intentado sacar el tema pero por varios factores no había logrado concretarlo. Hoy por fin, aquí lo tengo en mi poder y eso me hace muy feliz.

Les comento un poco acerca de esta canción y es que para quienes no lo sepan, Annie Lennox pertenecía al grupo Eurythmics junto con David Stewart, quién fue también su pareja. Juntos vivieron una relación romántica llena de muchos altibajos y de gran inestabilidad, por lo que terminaron separándose y es en el año 1992 que Annie termina sacando su álbum debut, Diva. Mismo donde se encuentra su sencillo, 'Why'. Al parecer el desenlace de este relación sirvió como inspiración para la artista para escribir la letra de la canción. Además de otros hechos como el haberse convertido en madre y la muerte de su padre. A este punto la cantante parecía interrogar el por qué de todos estos acontecimientos.

De cualquier forma, la letra de la canción es bastante clara: una pareja atraviesa una crisis en su relación al no poder comunicarse asertivamente. Un tema que se toca con mucha soltura, dónde podemos identificarnos en varios puntos dónde la cantante nos expresa y abre su corazón frente a los dilemas que la atormentan. La convivencia, las diferencias, la indiferencia, la soledad, la frustración y la ruptura. Todo esto se aborda de una forma poética que se vuelve aún más hermoso con el acompañamiento de ese espectacular video musical dónde vemos a Annie tras bastidores preparándose para su gran show. En un estado que vacila entre el empoderamiento y la fragilidad.

Con esto, queridos amigos, he intentado basar mi interpretación ya que es una canción realmente significativa para mí y espero lograr transmitir a ustedes ese sentir. También quise utilizar la estética que tiene la actriz en su video musical, para el cual prepare un maquillaje y peinado similar al de ella.
