On my first visit to this fantastic city, I can tell you that it has been one of my best experiences in the country. Alcacer do Sal is a small city that, if possible, you can explore all of it on foot, but I assure you that what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality, 80km from Lisbon we immerse ourselves in an area that was inhabited by several civilizations and of which some objects more than 20 centuries old have been discovered! From castles to fortresses, join me on this experience!🌏🧭🚩

En mi primera visita a esta fantastica ciudad puedo decirte que ha sido una de mis mejores experiencias dentro del pais, alcacer do sal es una pequeña ciudad que si es posible la recorres completa caminando pero te aseguro que lo que le falta de tamaño le sobra de calidad, a 80km de Lisboa nos sumergimos a un area que fue habitada por varias civilizaciones y de las cuales se han descubierto algunos objetos con mas de 20 siglos de antiguedad! desde castillos hasta fortaleza acompañame en esta experiencia!🕵️‍♀️🚙🍍

A short but fantastic stay🙇‍♂️🧭/ Una estadia corta pero fantastica🍍🧠

While walking in the beautiful and old streets of Alcacer the first thing I noticed is the tranquility in its streets, despite being a tourist city we see very few people in the streets, most of them are elderly and without a doubt a good option in the future to retire despite being a city with only 1400 meters, the center can be covered in a few hours walking and during the day visit all the tourist sites starting with the crypt which is my previous post! then you visit the wall and the castle. An excellent medieval village was founded in 1218, conquered by the Templars of the Christian order who were in charge of Henrique II.🚩🚙🍍

Mientras caminaba en las hermosas y antiguas calles de Alcacer lo primero que note es la tranquilidad en sus calles, apesar de ser una ciudad turistica vemos muy pocas personas en las calles, la mayoria de ellas son ancianas y sin duda una buena opcion en el futuro para jubilarme apesar de ser una ciudad con tan solo 1400 metros el centro puede ser recorrido en algunas horas caminando y en dia visitar todos los sitios turisticos comenzando por la cripta que es mi post anterior! luego visitas la muralla y el castillo. Fue fundada en 1218 una excelente aldea medieval conquistada por los templarios de la orden cristiana que estaban a cargo de Henrique II 🌏🧭👨‍💻🧠

You are in the presence of one of the oldest cities in Europe founded in 1000 BC and the Phoenicians already dominated these lands long before the Vigoths and the Romans, they were dedicated to horse breeding, fishing and agriculture! Later it was dominated by the Muslims who would be the rivals of Henrique the Portuguese who would end up conquering the city in 1158 and at that point it would become Portuguese territory and was never conquered by another tribe! It was only in 1997 that it became an independent city.🌏🍍🚙

Estas en presencia de una de las ciudades mas antiguas de europa fundada en el 1000 antes de cristo y es que los fenicios ya dominaban estas tierras mucho antes de los vicigodos y los romanos, estos se dedicaban a la cria de caballos, pesca y agricultura! posteriormente fue dominada por los musulmanes quienes serian los rivales de Henrique el Portugues que acabaria por conquistar las ciudad en el 1158 y en ese punto pasaria a ser territorio portugues y mas nunca fue conquistada por otra tribu! tan solo en 1997 es que se convierte en una ciudad independiente.🚩🕵️‍♀️

River Sado🌊

One of the main attractions of Alcacer, in addition to its old buildings, are its two modern bridges that cross the Sado River. These pedestrian bridges do not allow you to visit the entire city. I loved it. First, you don't have to ask for permission to fly the drone and everything is cheap. here and even the accommodation, the climate is quite hot👀

Una de las principales atracciones de alcacer ademas de sus construcciones antiguas son sus dos puentes modernos que pasan por el rio Sado, estos puentes peatonales no permiten visitar la ciudad completa, me encanto primero no hay que pedir permiso para pilotear el drone y todo es barato aqui e incluso el hospedaje, el clima bastante caluroso👀🚩

When we visited the ruins of the castle we climbed to a height of 120 meters and it makes sense because when all the castles were built they were always built on the highest hill in the city, the church is also up here and dates back to 1400, one of the first of Portugal and better preserved.🚩

Cuando visitamos las ruinas del castillo subimos a una altura de 120metros y tiene sentido porque todos los castillos cuando eran construidos se hacia siempre en la colina mas alta de la ciudad, la iglesia tambien esta aqui arriba y data del 1400, una de las primeras de Portugal y mejor conservadas.🍍
