The way in which funerals are celebrated should be based on the beliefs and preferences of the individuals involved and should be respectful of the deceased and their loved ones.
The Akan society of Ghana is one people that place much emphasis on how funerals are celebrated. Though is quite simple but the rich culture that are lavished at the funeral grounds makes it quite interesting.
In this video, we can clearly see how many items are being line up.These items are presented to the family of the deceased from his/her in-laws. These items received are share among the family members. This really allow the person in question to marry again if he/she want to marry. It is believe by doing this, it shows how much you really wanted the person family even in her/her dead life.
