Bienvenida de Ciclistas /Cyclists Welcome

De Nuevo por aqui con una nueva aventura en mi amado País Venezuela, el título de este post quizás no sea muy común en la comunidad de Ciclistas, pero en nuestro caso (atípico por cierto) aprovechamos cada oportunidad para compartir y disfrutar. Así me recibieron mis compañeros dos días después de retornar después de casi 5 meses que estuve ausente.

Here again with a new adventure in my beloved country Venezuela, the title of this post may not be very common in the community of cyclists, but in our case (atypical by the way) we take every opportunity to share and enjoy. This is how my companions received me two days after returning after almost 5 months that I was absent.

Este Domingo, @sherescolche llegó a buscarme a las 6 y 15 a.m, de allí salimos a buscar a Claudia para llegar al Punto de encuentro con los demás compañeros, lleve un morral con chocolates para compartir. Confieso que la alegría de volver a verlos fue inmensa, subir la montaña retador (falta de entrenamiento), pero confíe en mi memoria muscular y nos fuimos por la carretera más empinada que conduce al pueblo de Choroni del estado Aragua con la condición de llegar hasta donde yo pudiese.

This Sunday, @sherescolche came to pick me up at 6:15 a.m., from there we left to find Claudia to get to the meeting point with the other companions, I took a backpack with chocolates to share. I confess that the joy of seeing them again was immense, climbing the mountain was challenging (lack of training), but I trusted my muscle memory and we went up the steepest road leading to the town of Choroni in Aragua state with the condition that I could go as far as I could.

Me sentí bien mientras avanzaba en la empinada carretera, cada uno va a su ritmo y velocidad, ellos atentos me preguntaban si quería subir más y mi respuesta fue positiva hasta que llegamos al mirador donde fue construido un helipuerto con un tanque de agua gigante para proteger a la montaña en época de sequía ya que se generan muchos incendios y este año el daño ambiental fue muy acentuado. Volver a este ambiente natural para respirar aire puro, escuchar los pájaros, ver el cielo, sentir la brisa, el sol y ver las montañas fue extasiante para mi.

I felt good as I advanced on the steep road, everyone goes at their own pace and speed, they attentively asked me if I wanted to climb more and my answer was positive until we reached the viewpoint where a heliport was built with a giant water tank to protect the mountain in times of drought as many fires are generated and this year the environmental damage was very accentuated. Returning to this natural environment to breathe fresh air, listen to the birds, see the sky, feel the breeze, the sun and see the mountains was ecstatic for me.

Se propuso hacer un video de baile el cual fue divertido, se podrán imaginar a un grupo de mujeres para ponerse de acuerdo (bloopers), realmente gozamos haciéndolo. Luego de grabar y compartir un rato en el helipuerto regresamos a la ciudad para ir a desayunar y compartir las anécdotas y ponernos al dia con los últimos acontecimientos, escogimos el negocio de la hija de Claudia el "Bodegón Sport21" donde siempre nos atienden muy bien, brindamos con jugo verde y nos sirvieron un exquisito desayuno... regresamos a casa al mediodía, hicimos un recorrido aproximadamente de 35 kms. Llegue con el corazón contento, el afecto y la naturaleza definitivamente alegran el alma...hasta la próxima entrega.

She proposed to make a dance video which was fun, you can imagine a group of women to agree (bloopers), we really enjoyed doing it. After filming and sharing some time on the heliport we returned to the city to have breakfast and share anecdotes and catch up with the latest events, we chose the business of Claudia's daughter “Bodegón Sport21” where they always serve us very well, we toasted with green juice and they served us an exquisite breakfast... we returned home at noon, we made a journey of approximately 35 kms. I arrived with a happy heart, the affection and nature definitely gladden the soul...until the next delivery.
