In today's design I wanted to create a magical scene from two photographs of me, taken in the botanical garden of my city.

One of the photographs has a pergola made of metal, in the middle of many trees and plants and the other is a photograph I took some time ago, where in an avenue of palm trees they had placed an awning to generate a surplus over some flowerpots.

From the latter I took advantage of the awning, the street lamps and the flowers that were in the pots to create a magical atmosphere in the first one.

Maybe fairies live among so much vegetation.

Design process

The design is made with two photographs of my property and in 25 layers.

First I took the first image of the pergola, which I used as a background, enhanced the light and contrast.

Then I took certain parts of the second image as I mentioned before, selected, copied and pasted them over the background, adjusting the size and adding different blending modes to my liking.

In the case of the lampposts, I put 4 of them in different places and with different sizes, then I duplicated them to achieve the lighting effect with a flash.

The awning was made in three layers with different fusions to complement the colours.

I placed the flowers in different places mixing them with the environment.

Afterwards, in several empty layers, I drew with a brush of my choice some light stripes, which extend over the pillars of the pergola and then a layer that extends over the background landscape. To all these layers I applied the strong light fusion.

I wanted to create a sense of magic and fantasy.

On two more empty layers, with a star-shaped brush, I created several of them during the path of the strips of light, in two layers that I then intercalated in the animation.

The animation was developed entirely in After Effects, using light effects and varying the opacity of the images, making the layers appear smoothly and alternating them.

En el diseño de hoy quise crear una escena mágica a partir de dos fotografías mías, tomadas en el jardín botánico de mi ciudad.

Una de las fotografías tiene una pérgola realizada en metal, en medio de muchos árboles y plantas y la otra es una fotografía que tomé hace algún tiempo, donde en una avenida de palmeras habían colocado un toldo para generar sobra sobre unas macetas.

De esta última aproveche ese toldo, las farolas y las flores que estaban en las macetas para crear en la primera un ambiente mágico.

Tal vez entre tanta vegetación habiten las hadas.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño esta realizado con dos fotografías de mi propiedad y en 25 capas.

Primero tome la primera imagen de la pérgola, a la que uso de fondo, le realcé la luz y el contraste.

Luego fui tomando de la segunda imagen ciertas partes como mencione anteriormente, las seleccione, copié y pegué, sobre el fondo, acomodando el tamaño y añadiendo distintos modos de fusión a mi gusto.

En el caso de las farolas, puse 4 de ellas en distintos lugares y con diferentes tamaños, luego duplique las mismas para lograr con un destello el efecto de iluminación.

El toldo lo realicé en tres capas con distintas fusiones para complementar los colores.

Las flores las coloqué en distintos sitios mezclándolas con el ambiente.

Posteriormente en varias capas vacías, dibuje con un pincel a elección unas franjas de luz, que se extienden sobre los pilares de la pérgola y luego una capa que se extiende por el paisaje de fondo. A todas estas capas le coloqué la fusión de luz fuerte.

Quise con esto crear una sensación de magia y fantasía.

En dos capas más, vacías, con un pincel con forma de estrella, cree varias de ellas durante el recorrido de las franjas de luz, en dos capas que luego intercalo en la animación.

La animación la desarrollé totalmente en After Effects, usando efectos de luces y variando las imágenes en su opacidad, haciendo que aparezcan suavemente las capas y se vayan alternando.
