Un saludo amistoso queridos Hivers, una nueva semana está andando y a mí me complace poder acompañarles de nuevo en la gran tarima de Open mic. Esta semana el tema es “Gloria” debo confesar que me sentí perdida con esta propuesta, pues por lo general esta palabra tiene connotaciones religiosas. Después lo asocie mentalmente con la gloria de la fama, con la grandeza que puede alcanzar una persona; en este sentido muchas canciones vinieron a mi mente, como lo habrán notado en el título del post, elegí la canción “Reverón”.

Este tema fue compuesto, interpretado y publicado por el músico y compositor Ali Primera, en el año 1978 en su disco “Canción mansa para un pueblo bravo”. El trabajo de Ali Primera se caracteriza por estar cargado de contenido social y político, por expresar en cada una de sus canciones sentires con los que el pueblo de Venezuela y el continente se identifican profundamente, pues en ellos no solo señala severamente las injusticias a las que el pueblo es sometido por las elites que concentran el poder político y económico en el país, sino que además invita convincentemente a oponerse, a luchar y cambiar las cosas a través de la organización popular.

En este maravilloso disco con temas tan contundentes, tales como: Coquivacoa, Los que mueren por la vida, Canción mansa para un pueblo bravo, entre otras del mismo corte. La idea de publicar La canción “Reverón” se asumió en el mercado musical como una forma de suavizar el disco, pues según esta canción rompía el orden político del disco. Lo cierto es que no hay nada más político que el grandísimo Armando Reverón, el artista plástico más importante de nuestro país.

Toda la vida de Armando Reverón es una muestra de la desigualdad social y de cómo es excluido el arte popular, también como la elite puede exprimir el talento de una persona a la que ha marginado y tratado como una basura.

La visión de Reverón no era de este mundo, conocido como el pintor de la luz, porque en contra de las bases de las artes plásticas, donde el volumen de una forma se mide por la cantidad de sombra que genera sobre sí mismo y en la superficie, Reverón no pintaba la sombra, se dedicaba a pintar la luz. Buscó la luz a lo largo de su obra y fue tildado de loco y encerrado, no hay otra representación más profunda y sentida de la venezolanidad, por eso no es de extrañar que Ali Primera la publicara en este disco.

Esta es una canción llena de poesía e imágenes que le llenan el corazón a cualquier venezolano. Mi humilde interpretación es instrumental, creo que esta secuencia de acordes es maravillosa, como todas las canciones de Ali. Espero la disfruten.

Then I mentally associated it with the glory of fame, with the greatness that a person can reach; in this sense many songs came to my mind, as you may have noticed in the title of the post, I chose the song "Reverón".

This song was composed, interpreted and published by the musician and composer Ali Primera, in 1978 in his album "Canción mansa para un pueblo bravo". Ali Primera's work is characterized for being loaded with social and political content, for expressing in each of his songs sentiments with which the people of Venezuela and the continent deeply identify, because in them he not only severely points out the injustices to which the people are subjected by the elites that concentrate the political and economic power in the country, but also convincingly invites to oppose, to fight and change things through popular organization.
