(Esp/Eng-Sub) Viaje al Norte Argentino - Salinas y Purmamarca (Parte 5)

(Large salt flats and Purmamarca)

Welcome to the fifth part of this adventure to Northern Argentina! This time, we will take a leap from Salta, ironically enough, to Jujuy, the province that is furthest north in my country, where our destination will be the Salinas Grandes and the small town of Purmamarca. We had a long journey from Salta city to our final destination so we made several stops that I will show you in the video and some images.

¡Bienvenidos a la quinta parte de esta aventura al Norte Argentino! Esta vez, daremos un salto desde Salta, valga la ironía, a Jujuy, la provincia que se encuentra más al Norte de mi pais cuyo destino serían las Salinas Grandes y la pequeña de ciudad de Purmamarca. Teníamos un largo trayecto desde Salta capital hasta nuestro destino final así que tuvimos varias paradas que les mostrare en el video y algunas imágenes.

I ran into @elbuhito by accident here. This owl is a pest that follows me, although the sculpture was pretty.

Me encontré a @elbuhito de sal por aquí ja,ja,ja. Es una plaga este búho que me persigue aunque estaba bonita la escultura.

On the way we passed by the famous hill called: "Cerro 7 colores", we reached the highest point of the route where a carnival character (in full swing) was waiting for us to take some fun photos, admire a landscape from a viewpoint that was quite dizzying and without railings hahaha, to then set off to the Salinas and finally arrive at the beautiful city of Purmamarca, a colonial-style city that preserves its original architecture in order not to lose its cultural heritage. Here it is forbidden to build houses that are not made of the original local material precisely to preserve it, which I found great. Not only is it beautiful but it transports you back in time as you walk through its cobbled streets with those old-style houses. A truly beautiful and peaceful place.

En el camino pasamos por el famoso cerro llamado: **"Cerro 7 colores"**, pasamos por el punto mas alto del recorrido donde nos esperaba un personaje del carnaval (En pleno apogeo) para tomarnos unas divertidas fotos, admirar un paisaje desde un mirador que daba mucho vértigo y sin barandas ja,ja,ja para luego emprender viaje a las Salinas y finalmente llegar a la ciudad hermosa de Purmamarca, una ciudad estilo colonial que preserva su arquitectura original para no perder el patrimonio cultural. Aquí esta prohibido hacer casas que no sean del material original del lugar justamente para conservarlo lo cual, me pareció genial . No solo es hermoso sino que te transporta en el tiempo a medida que avanzas por sus calles empedradas con esas casas estilo antiguas. Un lugar realmente precioso y tranquilo.

In Salinas there is something special apart from the white landscape that looks like snow but in reality is salt, and it is that the people there take super funny artistic photos (You can see them in the video). We were like little kids taking photos from all angles and strange things ha,ha,ha.

The weather was spectacular and the trip was relatively cheap, even more so if you brought your own food in your backpack. Truly a beautiful excursion that I would do again if given the opportunity.

In the video, I tell you a little more about this adventure. I did not know Jujuy and what I did know was incredible, not to mention all that was learned like the history of the Jujuy Exodus under Belgrano's command, told firsthand by its inhabitants with pride since he is one of their greatest heroes thanks to his strategies that managed to confront the royalist army.

En las Salinas hay algo especial a parte del paisaje blanco que parece nieve pero en realidad es sal y es que, los que están allí te toman fotos artísticas super graciosas (Puedes verlas en el video). Estábamos como niños chiquito tomándonos fotos en todos los ángulos y cosas extrañas ja,ja,ja.

El clima estuvo espectacular y el paseo era relativamente barato mas aun, si llevabas tu propia comida en tu mochila. Realmente una excursión hermosa que volvería a hacer si se me da la oportunidad.

En el video les cuento un poco mas sobre esta aventura. No conocía Jujuy y lo que conocí, estuvo increíble sin mencionar todo lo que se aprendió como la historia sobre el éxodo Jujeño al mando de Belgrano contada de primera mano por sus habitantes con orgullo ya que este es uno de sus mayores héroes gracias a sus estrategias que lograron enfrentar al ejercito realista.
