Hello, hello, welcome to the chaos. How are you guys doing since yesterday? I want to do a video, it was a quick one, I hope you did enjoy, so I'll be talking about it in more detail today, and I should be in bed, because I'm on a new mission, I'll talk about it in a bit. and to tell my story about Vivafita, I have a video, I was trying to, I wasn't going to do, to throw this video, this vlog, so I was trying to grab my thank you video to my gym and add English short titles, but that's a pain. I don't know, if you are interested in that, you can throw me in the comments, I can share that video, try to translate and put the subtitles somewhere in that video, and I can share, if you want to, if not, that's fine, if you want to learn Portuguese, it's also a way. But anyway, how was you weak, by the way? My week was good. It's been good. I know I'm like very repetitive, but it's been so nice, it's really strange, because I always sabotaging myself that something bad is happening, it is too good to be true, it's also, it's mind, embrace the goodness, and you are strong enough to... fight any battle. At least I think like that, I'm strong now, I'm stronger. Even in my weakest days, I try to be stronger. That's the spirit. So the week was good, and I did my trainings almost all week, except on Friday. Friday were the school, my son's school, was going on a strike. and that can, things get slow, so on those days, I don't go, I don't have time to go to the class that I'm not, that I normally do, but actually my boy school normally doesn't go on the strike, so, Next time I will bring my fitness outfit, and if nothing happens, I can go to the class. So, lesson learned, I heard there will be another strike on Tuesday, but I'll be geared up if all goes well, I'll go to Tuesday classes, so fingers crossed. So, other than that, I did all my workouts this week, even yesterday I did two classes and my knees are in pain, but I have to go on the mission that I talked earlier. I'll tell you that. If I say it louder and say to someone, I'll feel more, there will be more accountability. Fingers crossed. So about VivaFit, which is my gym. Actually, my first gym ever in my life was also a VivaFit. They have a variety, like franchising, I think that's called, there are a few VivaFits around. mainland Portugal, and there's one here in Madeira as well. So my first gym was vivafit in Lisbon, but because I was moving to the island in 2009, I had to give up, because there was no vivafit here back then to make the transfer. So, so I, there was my... was my first giving up on a gym. I went through a variety of gyms here through the years. Even one of my first jobs as a massage therapist, it was a big hotel group called Pestana. Pestana here had a gym called Madara Magic, and because of my... contract at the spa, I could use the gym for free. Even so, back then, I gave up. I used for a few weeks, but because it was free, we don't have a personal trainer. One of the coaches there gave me some kind of plan at the beginning. but that's it, I had to do it on my own, which is understandable. They have to give a priority to the clients. I wasn't, I was there for free, I couldn't ask much. I did some, it was nice, some of my colleagues will go with me, but my favorite part of that gym was the sauna and the swimming pool. So I was mostly resting there. And then life happened. I went to other jobs, COVID and such. Other gyms, I would start, but I would give so many excuses, like losing weight, and many other things that I would give excuses, or the money was ending. Most of the time was the money or that was my excuse, but it was mostly here. I wasn't mentally prepared or so. So it's a struggle. I'm not alone in this kind of struggle to be consistent at the gym. So I'm very proud that at the moment, I'm on a gym for a year. I found out FiverFit last year. I was going through a bad phase last year. Sometimes I would come here to share my thoughts and confessions about the bad environment I was in on my previous job that ended up almost a burnout, if not depression. I didn't go to the doctor to... official diagnosed. So I think it was more of a burnout. I was hitting rock bottom. And even so, because I was aware of that rock bottom, it was a point, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, But I wasn't responding. I was in cruise control mode, doing things at home afterwards. But my mind was away. And he grabbed me one day, Mommy, Mommy, are you okay? That was my wake-up call in a way. So I tried to take care more of myself. I read the 5 a.m. club, so I went to the 5 a .m. things, and I found out a passion for running, eventually. And running gave me such a mental clarity. It's painful still. But I prefer physical pain than mental pain. and gave me so much mental clarity and became some kind of stronger to a point that I had to save myself and my energy and I decided to quit that job, even though it was a scary decision. And thanks to that, I eventually found out a new job. It's where I am at the moment. It turned a year as well. It's also awesome. And back then, I decided to take care even more of myself, improve my performance with my runnings. So... I want to get back to some kind of taking care of myself. So I had two options, or going back to the nutritionist, I had to stop because of my old job, or give a new opportunity to the gyms. So I went to the second one, and it was the best decision ever. I had so many bad decisions in my life. I think this one was a really good decision. And like I said yesterday, finding the right place and the right people. I talked about the right place. If you find the right people as well, sounds cliche, but you shine more. And it's been like that. The coaches are awesome and supportive, as well as the girls. They're always pushing me. And even on yesterday, I was screaming at them, I hate you as much that I love you. Because they are always pushing me to do it. Because in the middle of the workouts, I'm always like, I don't want to do this anymore. But you have to. No, it's always like that. I, it's always fun. I always, um, rambling and speaking bad words and such and always, um, I forgot the English word at the moment, but always complaining, that's it. Always complaining, but I do it anyway, because it is a good pain. It, the box, the crossfit, because you are so focused on trying to do the workout as better and quick and everything as possible that you forget the rest. So it's kind of a mind rest moment, a moment just for yourself and forget what's outside, even though it's painful. Physical pain for me is better than mental pain. That's it. And yeah, the girls have been awesome. We had, there was an anniversary in July, Vivafit turned 14 years, and it was my first event with all of them, and it was so good. They are so good to me. They make me feel good and make me feel sociable. I'm mostly outside. It's not only the workout. We go for a coffee before or after or both. That's why I did a few weeks ago, a blog post about from antisocial to a gym social. I'm more sociable now. I don't know how to describe this because I've never been into this. It's mostly the social life that I had. It was online with you guys. Being outside with real people, it's good. It's actually good if you are with the right people. So, yeah, so I did a video. I move my hands a lot. I'm sorry. Welcome to the chaos again. Don't forget. So I made a video for them. They loved it. One of the coaches yesterday in the middle of the workout spoke to me. I did see your video. I even cried, so thank you so much and hugged me. So it was good. It gave me strength to finish the workout. So yeah. I'm happy. Cheers for many years to come. That's it. As for my mission, because I have to go to bed, San Silvestre is upon us. Saint-Silvestre is a running event that happens in every December. I don't know if outside Portugal, there's something similar. I know in Brazil they do San Silvestre. in December or January, but I don't know if it is a thing, an international thing. I know Brazil and Portugal do them. It's not a marathon, but it's like a marathon event, but a small, instead of 42 kilometers, it's either 10, 15, like, Sorry about the jump. I use ScreenPol to record myself and the max is 15 minutes, so normally I do less than that, but I'm rambling a lot, but I'll finish quickly. So I was saying, South Silvestre is like a running event, but not a marathon or half marathon, a little bit less. and normally in mainland Portugal, it's about 10, 11 kilometers here, because we have the island is small, so which is a good thing for me. I never did, I never run 10 kilometers. The max that I ran was 8, I think, with stops, and I'll still be walking. probably. And here in Madeira, normally the San Silvest is in the city center, and it's about 6 kilometers, so 5.86. I don't know in miles, forgive me Americans. And I have to prepare myself. So, tomorrow is a holiday here, I believe, just here in Portugal, and no gym. So I want to wake up early to go to the main, to the city center, to the main avenue, with it's more stable. Because this highland is very hilly, and the flattest avenue is in the city center. So I have to take the bus. I won't run downhill. My knees would kill me. And I don't know if my knees... will like this new mission. I have, but I have to train. And I have to go back to running. It's not, luckily, some CrossFit workouts has runs, runnings, like yesterday, we ran about, in total, like four kilometers, but it was phase, because it was like 400 meters. and do another exercise, another 400 meters, and it's nearby my house, the gym, and it's a little bit with some, I don't know, in English inclination. It's not flat here in this avenue. I have to go to the main, in the city center avenue to run. on a flattest floor for the sake of my knees. I don't know if I'm going to do the, all the route from Sons Silvestre, I'm not sure yet. And I'm not sure even if I'm going to wake up it a bit for that. If it rains, I won't go for the sake of my knees. So that's it, enough rambling. If you went down to this part of the video, thank you so much for your patience. Thank you so much for listening. And I'll see you. Oh, I'll see you, I'll see you, wait. This week, it's another news, but hive-wise, I'm a dolphin now. Should I change my road to dolphinhood to... something else, I'll still be on dolphin mode for a while, so I'll keep it, my hive goals road to dolphin hood for a little bit longer, but I might, it's late, I'm sorry, I'm a dolphin now, yay, and that's it for now, I'm going to bed, I'll see you on the next one.
