Respondiendo al simpático @fernanblog, esta es mi segunda participación en el Hive Open Mic y estoy muy contenta de hacerlo por el tema de la edición N° 140: el Mar Caribe.
El Mar Caribe se suele llamar también Mar de las Antillas porque alberga a su lado este, el arco antillano, es decir, un conglomerado de islas clasificadas como antillas mayores y antillas menores; esto lo aprendí en la escuela.
El maestro Simón Díaz, cantautor venezolano y compositor de Luna de Margarita, dijo en varias ocasiones que escribió esta canción a su esposa en 1960 mientras estaba frente al mar Caribe, precisamente en la hermosa bahía de Juangriego, en la isla donde vivo. Es una hermosa canción llena de mucho sentimiento.

The Caribbean Sea is often also called the Antilles Sea because it is home to the Antillean arc in its eastern part, that is, a conglomerate of islands classified as the Greater Antilles and Lesser Antilles; I learned this in school.
Maestro Simón Díaz, Venezuelan singer-songwriter and composer of Luna de Margarita, said on several occasions that he wrote this song to his wife in 1960 while he was in front of the Caribbean Sea, precisely in the beautiful bay of Juangriego, on the island where I live.
