En el ajedrez existe un escenario llamado ataque ala descubierta suele presentarse en cualquier momento, básicamente es la situación en la que una pieza de alto valor del bando contrario queda atacada por otra de manera directa al ser movida alguna pieza interpuesta en el camino de ambas veamos el siguiente ejemplo

Aquí se presenta el escenario que le denominó como ataque a la descubierta ahora se encuentra la dama blanca y la Torre Blanca en la misma columna atacada por la torre negra desde d8, Como digo en un principio tengo pieza de ventaja y eso a la larga ya es como una ventaja decisiva las blancas no tienen mejor opción aquí que tomar la torre en e8 entregando la dama a cambio de una torre y el caballo, hay situaciones en que el ataque ala descubierta se puede salir, bien sea, interponiendo una pieza nuestra o sencillamente apartando la de mayor valor para defender a una de menor valor atacada sea como sea las blancas están perdidas ya sea jugando dama f2, de igual manera quedaría jugando una partida con pieza de menos.
