Hello my beautiful and dear friends of the Hive Open Mic with you saying present in this week 156 @nellynohemi. And the theme that summons us is "to the end" selected by the featured artist @wbrandt, a young musician, guitarist, very talented and loved by this great family. A big hug friend. For today I bring you a song popularized by Julio Jaramillo entitled "Five Cents". I hope you enjoy it.

This week's theme "To the Extreme" made me think a lot since if we look for its definition it is extreme behavior or that it is at its maximum degree, this applies to individuals, groups and institutions. This is why I selected this song, Five Cents, because it describes a loving behavior that doesn't mind giving up the last bit of money to have a minute of that love, even though later it doesn't have any more and his life is hell. I want to highlight that in Colombia this is a popular expression that means that five cents were missing for the peso, that is, it was very close to achieving something important. In particular, I think that sometimes this type of behavior is not correct because first one must value and respect oneself as a person and not settle for a minute of love and passion, of course if you love seriously.

This song "Five Cents" is a bolero composed by Héctor Ulloa. It has been interpreted and popularized by the famous Ecuadorian singer Julio Jaramillo in his Album The Best of Julio Jaramillo and later by famous performers such as Daniel Santos, Alci Acosta among others.

As always I want to thank my God for allowing me once again to share with you, my son Carlos Funes for the photo, editing and montage of my video, my sister thibisay @dealtokilate for her support and advice. To all of you my dear friends for your comments and suggestions, to this Hive Open Mic family for this space that allows us to sing and express ourselves freely according to the theme of the week. A big hug to all.

    Cinco Centavitos

    Quiero comprarle a la vida
    Cinco centavitos de felicidad
    Quiero tener yo mi dicha
Pagando con sangre y con lágrimas

    Quiero tenerte en mis brazos
Tan solo un minuto poderte besar
    Aunque después no te tenga

    Five Cents

    I want to buy life
    Five cents of happiness
I want to have my happiness
    Paying with blood and tears

I want to have you in my arms
Just one minute to be able to kiss you
Even if I don't have you later
And live hell and have to cry

    Although the anguish kills me
To know that you were and will no longer be
    I want to buy life
    Five cents of happiness
