Hello, community of musicians, performers and creators. I continue on this path of self-taught accordion learning and I want to participate in this week 210 in which the theme proposed by our recent featured artist: @ljfenix is "Reborn of Fire". Seeing the topic immediately led me to connect with the myth of the Phoenix, a character from Greek mythology, a long-lived bird (about 500 years) that is reborn from its ashes after dying. It is interesting to know that there are two versions about his death. One: - the most "attractive" at the narrative level - presents her extinguishing her life in a flare to be reborn renewed from her ashes. The other version presents her dying in a normal way, to be reborn, after her decomposition, to a new life. The Zulian bagpipe, or simply bagpipe, is a musical genre that was born in the state of Zulia, Venezuela. In 2014 it was declared a heritage asset of cultural and artistic interest in Venezuela. It has the peculiarity of being performed all year round in the state where it was born, but in the rest of the country it is associated with Christmas and is heard and performed in the months of October, November and December, together with Christmas carols, Christmas bonuses. and Christmas party music. The themes discussed in the bagpipe lyrics are very varied: songs about love, religious figures, humorous themes, denunciation, political themes, the bagpipe walks with great panache between these themes and is accompanied by musical instruments from Venezuelan folklore such as the cuatro, the tumbara, the furro or furruco. Innovations such as adding bass, keyboard, piano, are frowned upon by some and celebrated by others since there are bagpipes for all tastes! In this case the geographical element is what is reflected in this bagpipe that sings to the Orinoco, the largest river in Venezuela, the second largest in South America and the third in the world. I hope you like my humble instrumental proposal and that it serves to introduce you to this beautiful and happy musical genre.

The song that I will cover for you today is, as I said before, it is about the Orinoco River. I think that this process of life, death and regeneration also occurs in rivers. All rivers are going to "die" to the sea. Then, due to the evaporation process that we all know, its waters in the form of vapor are the clouds that we see. Condensation causes the water to return to its liquid state and in liquid form it descends to once again form part of the river. As an anecdotal note, I remember that in high school a teacher told us "The water we drink today has already been digested by many" and one of my classmates reacted with "Oh, how disgusting!" 😁

Hola, comunidad de músicos intérpretes y creadores. Sigo en este camino de aprendizaje autodidacta del acordeón y deseo participar en esta semana 210 en la cual la temática propuesta por nuestro reciente artista destacado : @ljfenix es "Renacer del fuego".

El ver el tema me llevó de inmediato a conectarme con el mito del Ave Fénix, personaje de la mitología griega, un ave de larga vida (unos 500 años) que luego de morir renace de sus cenizas. Es interesante saber que hay dos versiones acerca de su muerte. Una: - la más "atractiva" a nivel de narración- la presenta extinguiéndose su vida en una llamarada para renacer renovada de entre sus cenizas. La otra versión la presenta muriendo en forma normal, para renacer, luego de su descomposición, a una vida nueva.

La gaita zuliana, o simplemente gaita, es un género musical que nació en el estado Zulia, Venezuela. En 2014 fue declarado un bien patrimonial de interés cultural y artístico de Venezuela.

Tiene la peculiaridad de ser interpretado todo el año en el estado que la vió nacer, pero en el resto del país se la asocia con la Navidad y es escuchada e interpretada en los meses de octubre, noviembre y diciembre, conjuntamente con los villancicos, aguinaldos y música de parranda navideña.

La temática tratada en las letras de las gaitas es muy variada:
cantos al amor, a figuras religiosas, a temas humorísticas, denuncia, temas políticos, la gaita se pasea con gran garbo entre estas temáticas y se la acompaña con instrumentos musicales del folclor venezolano como son el cuatro, la tambora, el furro o furruco.

Innovaciones como agregarle bajo, teclado, piano, son mal vistas por unos y celebradas por otros ya que gaitas hay ¡Para todos los gustos!

En este caso el elemento geográfico es el que se refleja en esta gaita que le canta al Orinoco,
el mayor río venezolano, el segundo más caudaloso de Sudamérica y el tercero del mundo.

Espero que les guste mi humilde propuesta instrumental y que la misma sirva para darles a conocer este género musical tan bonito y alegre.

La canción que les versionaré hoy es, como ya dije anteriormente es sobre el río Orinoco. Pienso que este proceso de vida, muerte y regeneración se da también en los ríos. Todos los ríos van a "morir" al mar. Luego, por el proceso de evaporación que todos conocemos, sus aguas en forma de vapor son las nubes que vemos. La condensación hace que el agua torne a su estado líquido y en forma líquida descienda a formar de nuevo parte del río. Como nota anecdótica, recuerdo que en secundaria un profesor nos dijo "El agua que hoy tomamos ya muchos la han digerido" y una de mis compañeras reaccionó con un "¡Ay, qué asco!" 😁
