Bertrayo Plays: Guacamelee | Bye, X'tabay! [No Commentary Gameplay]

Today, we come back to the Mexiverse and continue our quest to defeat the evil Calaca whose first name is Carlos. Reminds me of an anecdote by my grandma about not naming one or her children Carlos because he could turn out evil. It seems there's some true behind this. Not for my uncle, but this videogame character.

We have traveled some more towns and even a desert to keep improving our skills and challenge Calaca to a rematch. In this chapter, we got some flashbacks and background information about our character, Juan, the origins of Tostada, and the main antagonist. We also fought X'tabay and gain the power to shift between the worlds of the living and the dead. A really cool power that will certainly help with the whole exploration part.

As a side note, I love the other powerup called Intenso feels a lot like grabbing a Star in Super Mario. It gives a boost to all your attacks and make enemies explode when defeated. This affects all nearby enemies. A very cool tool to get that combo count up and high.

Enjoy this second part of Guacamelee. It brings a lot more to the table between fun and challenges. Also, if you find some incongruities in the video, know that I had a problem with the first recording and had to create a separate game file to go over my tracks and get the missing footage. Yes, that a rookie mistake, but gameplays are a whole new territory for me. I didn't have that problem with the rest of the game.

Hoy volvemos al Mexiverse y continuamos nuestro aventura para derrotar al malvado Carlos Calaca. El hecho de que este persona tenga ese primer nombre, me hace recordar una anécdota de mi abuela. Según cuentan, le recomendaron no llamar Carlos a uno de sus hijos porque iba a volverse malo. No pasó con mi tío, pero sí con este personaje.

En esta ocasión recorrimos varios lugares, incluyendo un desierto. Todo con el objetivo de volvernos más fuertes y tener nuestra revancha contra Calaca. Además, nos dieron un poco de exposición sobre las historias de Juan, Tostada y el mismo Calaca. Pudimos derrotar a X'tabay y con esto ganamos la habilidad de movernos entre el mundo de los vivos y el de los muertos. Una herramienta muy útil para la exploración.

También tengo que mencionar este poder llamado Intenso. Se siente muy parecido a una estrella en Mario Bros. Al activarlo, tus ataques son más fuertes y haces explotar a los enemigos al derrotarlos. Esto afecta al resto mandándolos a volar. Es algo muy útil para no perder los combos.

Disfruten de esta segunda parte de Guacamelee. La verdad que trae mucha más diversión y desafíos. Además, si encuentran algunas incongruencias en el video ocurre que perdí parte de la grabación y solo me di cuenta al acabar esa sesión. Entonces, tuve que hacer un archivo nuevo para jugar hasta esa parte que se perdió. Errores de novato en esto de los gameplays, pero la lección quedó tan bien aprendida que no ha vuelto a pasar.
