Bertrayo Plays: Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition 🎮 (No Commentary)

Today, I'm finally using my laptop for it's entertainment purposes and going around gameplays. With this I start the series on Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition. It was one of the free games given through the vault of Epic Games. So, if it's still free, you should check it out.

It is a Metroidvania style platformer that has a ton of references from other games and it's set up in the Mexiverse. It shows a mix of Mexican Folklore and Myths to deliver an interesting experience throughout the game. The music is amazing and the combo counter is great. It is reminiscent of Double Dragon for the arcades and seems to be an homage to this classic of videogames.

I'll leave you to watch the gameplay with no commentary since I don't say much while playing just laugh a lot at my own bad skills and funny comments made by the characters. Here, we play as Juan, a tequila brewer and luchador aspirant who gets involved in a quarrel with Calaca an undead charro who wants to merge the world of the living and the world of the dead to rule both. He kidnaps a virgin to sacrifice and kick off the ritual and it's our duty to put an end to his plans.

Power ups, beat'm up, sarcastic npcs, bosses and tricky levels are all parr for the course. Grab your mask and join me in this epic quest to stop the evil Calaca!

Jugando Guacamelee

El día de hoy por fin comienzo con mi serie de gameplays. Después de todo, la laptop funciona para eso. El primer juego es Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition que estaba dispoble como juego gratis en Epic Games. Así que pueden ir a revisar si todavía lo está. Este fue una recomendación mi querida hiver y gamer @adalathu.

El juego es básicamente un platformer Metroidvania (juego con características similares a juegos de la saga Metroid o Castlevania) y cuenta con un montón de referencias de otros juegos. Está ambientado en el Mexiverse y tiene elementos del folklore y mitos mexicanos. Estos elementos le dan una dimensión muy interesante. La música es uno de sus puntos fuertes además del conteo de combos. Me trae recuerdos de los clásicos de las maquinitas (arcades) como Double Dragon.

Les dejaré disfrutar de este gameplay sin comentarios porque la verdad es que no hablo mucho mientras juego. Me río mucho, eso sí. En especial, cuando fallo varias veces intentando hacer la misma cosa y leo las cosas que dicen los personajes. Aquí tomamos el mando de Juan, un destilador de tequila y aspirante a luchador que se ve envuelto en un conflicto con Calaca, un charro esqueleto que busca combinar el mundo de los vivos y de los muertos para dominar ambos. Para esto, secuentra a una virgen para sacrificarla y poder realizar un ritual. Nuestra tarea será deterlo a toda costa.
