[ENG/ESP] Ariah Records presents Yantra Unplugged by @antonyjimenezve

Last Saturday, May 13th, we started the preparations for our first acoustic concert, which will be at ARIAH RECORDS at Torre Centrum, in Sabana Grande, Caracas. The band I will be performing with is YANTRA.

Yantra is a Grunge band from Caracas, in which I am the bass player since November 2012.
For a long time we did our songs and a nirvana tribute all over Venezuela. The band is integrated by Alison Varela, Jonathan Varela and myself Antony Jimenez.

This experience is something totally new for us, we are normally a band with a very strident sound. And to make this change of format, we are a little bit anxious.

As I was saying, last Saturday, we had the first rehearsal, and to our surprise, the songs sounded strangely good. During the assembly process, in the percussion we used a bongo, an acoustic guitar, amplified with a microphone, an electric bass with a 4x10 amplifier and a microphone for the lead vocals.

The experience in this rehearsal led us to the conclusion that we will need to add three microphones. Two for Jonathan, with the intention of defining the sound of the percussion and another one for his voice; and a third one for my voice.

This rehearsal served as a reference to define the things we will need and helped us to clarify the harmonies of new songs in the band. On a weekly basis, I will show the band's progress.

In a special way, I would like to count with the support and presence of our friends from @hivecreators-es @hivecreatorsday @music-community @threespeak and @aliento in this event. I think it would be great to take the opportunity to talk to the community of musicians and invite them to join and participate in the HIVE ecosystem.

Everything has been transformed to its folk roots. The song we performed is new and is called CAOS and is original from our band YANTRA.

El pasado sábado, 13 de Mayo, comenzamos los preparativos para nuestro primer concierto en acústico, el cual será en ARIAH RECORDS en la Torre Centrum, en Sabana Grande, Caracas. La banda con la que voy a presentarme es YANTRA.

Yantra es una banda Grunge caraqueña, en la que soy el bajista desde noviembre del 2012.
Durante mucho tiempo hicimos nuestras canciones y un tributo a nirvana por toda Venezuela. La banda está integrada por Alison Varela, Jonathan Varela y mi persona Antony Jimenez.

Esta experiencia, es algo totalmente nuevo para nosotros, normalmente somos una banda con un sonido muy estridente. Y hacer este cambio de formato, nos tiene un poco ansiosos.

Como les decía, el sábado pasado, tuvimos el primer ensayo, y para nuestra sorpresa, las canciones, sonaban extrañamente muy bien. Durante el proceso de montaje, en la percusión utilizamos un bongó, una guitarra acústica, amplificada con un micrófono, un bajo eléctrico con un amplificador 4x10 y un micrófono para la voz líder.

La experiencia en este ensayo, nos llevó a la conclusión de que, vamos a necesitar sumar tres micrófonos. Dos para Jonathan, con la intención de definir el sonido de la percusión y otro para su voz; y un tercero para mi voz.

Este ensayo nos sirvió de referencia para poder definir las cosas que vamos a necesitar y nos ayudo a aclarar las armonías de canciones nuevas en la banda. Semanalmente, iré mostrando los avances de la banda.

De manera especial, me gustaría contar con el apoyo y la presencia de nuestros amigos de @hivecreators-es @hivecreatorsday @music-community @threespeak y @aliento en este evento. Creo que seria genial aprovechar el momento de hablar con la comunidad de músicos e invitarlos a formar parte y a participar en el ecosistema HIVE.

Todo se ha transformado a su raíz folk. La canción que interpretamos es nueva y se llama CAOS y es original de nuestra banda YANTRA.
