Hola, amigos de #Geekzone. Hace unos días revisando la Play Store, me encontré con un juego que inmediatamente me hizo pensar: "pero qué clase de Stardew Valley es esto", un poco indignada y con mucha curiosidad, decidí instalarlo para ver qué tal es y qué tanto se parece al otro. El nombre del juego es Harvest Town y a diferencia de Stardew pueden instalarlo de forma gratuita desde la Play Store (Android) y la App Store (iOS).

Después de haberlo probado un poco más de media hora, mi primera impresión con este juego es que efectivamente es prácticamente una copia del otro, sin embargo, tiene mecánicas que me gustaron mucho. La primera de ellas fue el mapa, el cual es interactivo y te da la posibilidad de seleccionar un lugar en él y nuestro personaje se dirigirá automáticamente a dónde le hayamos indicado, esto ahorra tiempo y estarle moviendo manualmente, además de que también evita que nos perdamos al no estar familiarizados con el mapa.

Algo similar a esto ocurre con las misiones, cuando hay que visitar un sitio en específico, tenemos un indicador de ubicación que nos da la posibilidad de hacer que nuestro personaje se dirija automáticamente al punto donde debemos llevar a cabo la misión. Lo único malo es que tanto en esta opción, como en la del mapa, tenemos que esperar a que el personaje se desplace físicamente de un punto a otro (no lo teletransporta, jajaja), lo cual consume tiempo, aunque definitivamente es mucho menor que el que emplearíamos llevándolo manualmente.

La otra dinámica que me gustó fue una que nos permite hacer acciones encadenadas, por ejemplo, si tomamos una herramienta como el pico, podemos dejar apretado el ícono de este y el personaje irá rompiendo automáticamente todas las rocas que tenga dentro de cierto rango, incluso se desplazará a otras que tenga cerca y seguirá haciéndolo. Esto es realmente útil para despejar y trabajar áreas sin tanto esfuerzo y sin perder tanto tiempo. Lo hace con cualquier tipo de herramienta (pico, hacha, azada, hoz, etc.) e incluso al momento de sembrar semillas también lo hará.

Si bien la dinámica del juego es bastante similar a la de Stardew Valley, se dieron a la tarea de implementar pequeñas cositas que hacen una diferencia agradable, además de lo que ya mencioné también facilitaron la forma en la que se cumplen las misiones y se venden nuestros productos. Aún me queda mucho por jugar y explorar, ya que por lo que pude ver en el mapa hay bastantes lugares a los cuales ir, al parecer también se podrá minar y pescar, ojalá que esto último no sea tan tedioso como en SV. Lo que aún no sé es si se podrá entrar en combate con criaturas o las cuevas son meramente para extraer recursos y explorar.

Por lo pronto estoy satisfecha con este primer acercamiento, es una buena opción si no se puede comprar el juego original o si se quiere probar algo nuevo para variar un poco. Lo único que quizás le podría reprochar es que la traducción en español es algo ineficiente, ya que hay partes que aún se encuentran en inglés, pero a pesar de eso es bastante entretenido y se puede jugar sin problemas.

Hello, #Geekzone friends. A few days ago checking the Play Store, I came across a game that immediately made me think: "but what kind of Stardew Valley is this", a bit indignant and curious, I decided to install it to see how it is and how much it resembles the other one. The name of the game is Harvest Town and unlike Stardew you can install it for free from the Play Store (Android) and the App Store (iOS).

After trying it out for a little over half an hour, my first impression with this game is that it is indeed practically a copy of the other one, however, it has mechanics that I really liked. The first of these was the map, which is interactive and gives you the ability to select a place on it and our character will automatically go where we have indicated, this saves time and moving manually, plus it also prevents us from getting lost if we are unfamiliar with the map.

Something similar to this happens with the missions, when we have to visit a specific place, we have a location indicator that gives us the possibility to make our character go automatically to the point where we must carry out the mission. The only bad thing is that in this option, as in the map option, we have to wait for the character to physically move from one point to another (it doesn't teleport him, hahaha), which is time consuming, although it is definitely much less than the time we would spend taking him there manually.

The other dynamic that I liked was one that allows us to do chained actions, for example, if we take a tool like the pickaxe, we can leave the pickaxe icon pressed and the character will automatically break all the rocks within a certain range, even move to others that are close by and continue doing so. This is really useful for clearing and working areas without so much effort and without wasting so much time. It does this with any kind of tool (pickaxe, axe, hoe, sickle, etc.) and even when sowing seeds it will do it too.

While the dynamics of the game is quite similar to Stardew Valley, they took the task of implementing little things that make a nice difference, in addition to what I already mentioned they also facilitated the way in which the missions are fulfilled and sell our products. I still have a lot to play and explore, from what I could see on the map there are quite a few places to go to, apparently you will also be able to mine and fish, hopefully the latter won't be as tedious as in SV. What I still don't know is if you will be able to engage in combat with creatures, or if the caves are merely for resource extraction and exploration.

For now, I am satisfied with this first approach, it is a good option if you can't buy the original game or if you want to try something new for a change. The only thing I could reproach is that the translation in Spanish is somewhat inefficient, as there are parts that are still in English, but despite that it is quite entertaining and can be played without problems.
